Clamshell

Got a pic of your set up? Yea I’ve tried other brands and heard a lot of brands. I ended up going back to JL audio, very efficient and quality products. W7 is just a beast. The problem with W7 for my applications in my cars I had, was air space and just the size of that speaker. But the w6 line has been perfect for multiple applications I had to deal with.

 

I just thought it was funny how the shop was promoting a brand that I had in the past and know how JL compared, which they sell but wasn’t promoting it. That’s why I didn’t mind testing our set ups. At the end he blamed his EQ tune lol. Yea the more reason I like my subs is the rarity of having a 13, I had these subs for overs 8 years and I had to redo the surrounds once and it’s still going strong. W7 is a beast! But the new 12w6v3 is a great sub, and cheaper. My cousin picked up one and for one sub it sounds clean, gets down and loud. Ive tried lots of different brands all in which has is positives of costs and loudness, but I went back to JL audio at the end.

 

I’ll take a picture tomorrow and throw it up on here. It honestly was worth ditching the back seats to be able to build the box to the proper airspace. Previously I built a box to fit behind the back seats. Had to modify everything to fit it and it was constantly having vibrations and air leaks.

 

Oh man I gotta see it lol. No matter how good jl audio subs are, the box is everything for any speaker. For us bass heads would do anything for it lol
