There is a guy got more off a PRO few pages back. Somewhere in TX.

If i was ok with a shortbed, I would get that Pro deal you got, in a heartbeat

Thanks - seemed like a pretty good deal considering the availability of these trucks and what every other dealership quoted me locally. I was willing to fly and pick it up if I could get a better deal, but it doesn't seem that it's worth it for the price I got. I did use the Costco program to find the dealer so I'm not sure if that helped or not.

Any updates on the production delays? I ordered a TRD Sport DCSB 6TM on 12/1 because there were none in the trading area with the manual. Last I heard, the order hadn't been started (i.e. no VIN created). No word from the dealer on lead time.

Hey guys, first time poster looking into getting my first truck. Wanted to thank you as this thread has been tremendously helpful.

I got the following disappointment of a final offer from a VA dealer (CAT network) and wanted to contribute a data point/get your feedback. The truck has all the options I want (bolded below) but it's flush with unnecessary add-ons. The best I could get was 4.5% off MSRP including incentives.

Should I bite at this price or continue looking? It's been difficult to find a Cement M/T TRD OR spec'd this way.
    1. 2021, TRD Off-Road, Cement, M/T, DCSB
    2. MSRP - $44,675
    3. Options - $1700 Advanced Technology Package, $485 LED Headlights, $3375 Premium Package, $415 Black out package
    4. Add ons - $650 Tonneau Cover, $248 All-weather floor liner, $129 mudguards, $649 Predator tube step, $399 Roof rack
    5. Price before Tax Title License (TTL) including incentive/rebate - $42675 ($1000 rebate, $1000 dealer discount)
    6. Discount 1- ~4.5%
    7. Incentive (rebate/customer cash) - $1000
    8. Price Out The Door (OTD) - $46,157.95
    9. Trade in vehicle(year, make, model, trim) - N/A
    10. Kelley blue book trade-in value - N/A
    11. Trade allowance(amount given for trade) - N/A
    12. Date purchased - N/A
    13. State purchased - VA

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, it does seem like lately we are seeing more people get consistently close to or slightly above that 10% off range so 4.5 is kinda low especially when the whole discount is eaten up by unwanted add ons. That being said, what you want is pretty specific especially if it has to be a stick. You could sell the tonneau, roof rack, and predator steps. If you get 1100 for em that gets you to ~7%. If you def can’t find another one or aren’t able to wait and you end up buying at that price you will still love the shit out of it and forget that you paid a little more than you wanted.

What is this "$3375 Premium Package"? And isn't the tonneau cover part of the optional equipment advanced technology package...? Unless you have the front camera, the tech package should cost around $800 unless it comes with the tonneau "I think".

Most trucks in Texas come with the blackout package, tint, and predator steps. Dealers make large margins on dealer-addons compared to factory add-ons.

Not that there is a lot of dealing going on with Tacomas these days, but I think I got a good one.
2021 TRD Off Road/Double Cab Long Bed - Cement
Advanced Tech+Premium Off Road = Moonroof and Leather
    Misc adds: blackout, LED package
Out the door includes tax/fees/everything- 46,500. Giving me 27,500 for trade on a 2016 Tacoma OR(80K miles) - so my walk away price is about 19K.

I bought one similarly equipped with 6MT like yours through the Costco auto program—similar discount also, with no dealer BS or add-ons. A great program, isn’t it? Don’t forget to ask Costco for your 50% off coupon up to $200 off on parts and accessories. Good for a roof rack or steps for half off!

    Was your agreement similar also?

Mine was a “tad” different. There is a over 60 page thread about mine (I won’t bore you with it)

I didn’t end up shopping for such a high end truck (my needs are at a farm)..... but after 2 day ownership “oh what a feeling”

It really is! I used it to try and negotiate w/other dealers to see if they could beat the price, and no one would even match it much less beat it. Steps or bed mat is going to be the first purchase!

Your posts in this thread have been especially helpful, thank you! I was disappointed I couldn't break the 6% threshold especially considering the premium margin the dealer gets on all those port-installed options. I ended negotiations on good terms with the dealer, I'll keep it as an option for now seeing the better deals other posters have gotten.

As detailed on the window sticker, it's dual-zone climate, leather heated seats, auto-headlights, moonroof, "Premium audio", Dynamic navigation w/ 3 yr trial, and destination assist with 1 yr trial. I haven't seen the tonneau cover included in a package.

    Hello all!

    I paid 32,000 for a 2021 Tacoma SR5
3.5L V6 Automatic Access Cab 6 Ft. Bed.
It's pretty much the entry level with a tow package.
    Rims are 16' black alloy.

Man I wish I knew about this program before buying my truck... that is quite a healthy discount! Plus not having to deal with dealer is icing on the cake.

The Fred Anderson near me where I bought mine doesn’t like to talk about the Costco. Lol. Even though it’s almost literally next-door.

No problem. Glad to help. Yeah, even in normal times the better deals people get require a very significant amount of time, patience, and effort. even more so now. For some people it’s very understandably just not worth it for that extra couple percent off. You’ll find your diamond. Maybe widen your search if it’s worth it to you. I flew to Texas from South Carolina for my wife’s Audi.
