Just about all well water tastes better than municipal, that's for sure.

The camp in Eustis is debateable, might be on the same level, but it's high in iron content up there

It's probably one that if you used it more frequently it would help, too.

Thats true, the inline filter is almost always red/brown

this is extremely true especially regarding the aspect of needing filters on well water systems. I have an artesian well that is about 400 feet down and it is great tasting water but it also needs to be treated for bacteria growth every five years and you have to have a water filtration system to really make sure that it is not only the best tasting type of water, but also water that is clear and won't build up a lot of sediment in your well system, your tank, and form brown deposits around your showerheads or faucets.

Yea thats what the inline filter does on the feed line for the camp. That house has a well similar to Alex's where my parents is more of a standard setup, but also just one filter that gets changed out regularly, but they do have some calcium in their water

Dude you should see the filters here at work! The dealership is built on top of an old junk/salvage yard that was buried years and years ago. The well water that we have here will occasionally run rusty brown/red, and it has a funk to it. I had my detailing department install 2 inline filters to try to remove the contaminants and sediment because it was staining the light colored paint and upholstery when we used the extractor. Even running a few minutes, the filters turn orange again. It's crazy! I'm gonna go take a picture, brb.

Those filters were changed 1 week ago. It’s incredible how much loose sediment ends up in there too. We get like chunks of rust and stuff. I’m pretty sure our well is driven through the hood of a Model-T down there!

And when the dealers can't put 1 and 1 together why you don't want them to send your car through their car wash....

    Ew.

Hey PS - meant to ask you or @Skierrichy I'm planning to do a road trip out to LA and then across the south in March. Is it worth it to set up a CB radio or is it relatively dead nowadays?

I find it quite amusing ever since I was banned TW works ridiculously slow at my house but I switch off my network and it works just fine.
Mind you all of my other things that run off my network, and I have many that are taking up way more bandwidth than TW, are and have been running just fine.
    o_O

Looks a bit odd to me but whatever, I have unlimited data
It's not like I can't just reboot the entire system with a new IP address...
I hope they aren't playing games that low but like I said it's been this way ever since I got banned.
    Just saying...

It's worth it just to have in general, but a trip that far you can get on channel 19 and get a heads up for traffic and accidents ahead of you from the other truckers.
Stay on 19 there is no more north-south, and east-west channels it's only 19.
It has saved my ass quite a few times now and I use the cb for off-road anyway.

I just got back from a forced time out and haven't had any issues :anonymous:

I'm thinking I might set one up for sub-100$ and not get too intricate (drilling holes in my roof etc), I'd use it for wheeling and road trips but that's pretty much it so I don't want to go overboard.

Noted - I'll just stay on 19 unless I'm wheeling

It's pretty quite around NE but you go to places where the truckers are and it gets quite entertaining! Just don't listen to it with kids around!!!

A funny thing happened to me today. I took my dog to work for 6 hours He made friends with my co-workers outside, then made a few errands.
He was being good so I took him to the local Dog park so he could run a bit. He had a good wrestle/ play with a Pit.
It was maybe state-sponsored was using the local Farmers Market to do COVID testing next to the dog park, they were slow and had 16 people working to do the testing.
As I was getting ready to leave one of them asked if I wanted a test?
    I said not really.
He said come on it's FREE. I said ok.
It was very easy and not as intrusive as it has been.
It is a PCA test, whatever that means.
    Result in 48 hours.
The reason I turned it down at first is that I got my second Monderna shot yesterday.
