Can't fault you there. I wish mine was bigger. I hate parking under a big oak tree. So...many....acorns....

Most days there are 1500 people leaving my work lot at once so it’s kind of an Olympic event to get outta dodge ASAP.....lately we’ve had freezing fog in the daytime and it’s not uncommon to see people peeling out with an entirely unscraped windshield, head out the side window!

A daft bunch of melts, us Deere workers.

Rental houses and apartments are outrageous here. Apartments are usually over $600, cheaper if you want to live in the hood :anonymous:

And rental houses are about $900+

And so far my house payments are gonna roughly be about $490 a month. With that and utilities and the only luxury I'll be needing is internet since I stream everything I'll actually still be able to put away money as long as I budget things and don't spend ALL of money in truck parts :anonymous:

How the hell do you get a $490 mortgage payment? You must have bought a tiny home with 300 sq feet or something

Wow, that’s great, good for you. I bought too much house. It’s affordable, thankfully, but seeing almost double your entire payment go towards interest each month is quite sobering and slightly depressing and it’s difficult to feel like I’m making progress.

    Extra payments, repeat extra payments!

Interest rates are much better now as well, looks like you’re making the right call

If you like cheap housing don't move to Minneapolis.
I have pretty much a starter home in the south metro, nothing fancy, $285k.
But I refuse to throw away money on rent, I watched 2 of my grandparents die with absolutely nothing to their names because they pissed away $1k/month for 25 years.

House is about 1,070 sq feet, garage is 24x56 and the lot is about 60 feet wide and 160 feet deep roughly and I'm getting it for 55k
Yeah my interest is 2.85% fixed for 30 years. One payment is roughly one 40 hr check for me
Ew no. I don't want to be too far from my parents due to my mom's health and if my dad needs help with anything. I'll be about 25 miles away from them

I had an $875 payment back in the day, 1200 sq ft in kind of an armpit neighborhood.....was single, had a nice 1st gen paid off, a decent garage, and my dog.

You guys will never guess how that utopia fucking derailed!
