Oh thats cool, maybe just give it a shot removing the leaf to see how you like it, before adding the sumo springs

oh I won’t have the support I need for a fully loaded camping trip with a leaf taken out, which is the issue.

Ahh, another slightly fancier option would be to run Firestone airbags with Daystar cradles.

No experience with sumo springs. I run these from All Dogs, I've had the truck up to well over 6500lbs loaded, rode and handled the load great. https://www.alldogsoffroad.com/alldogs-offroad-performance-leaf-packs-for-2nd-3rd-gen-toyota-tacoma
This is a pic loaded up. Full decked system. Plus all my work tools, equipment, clothes, etc when I moved cross country. I weighed it before departing 6680. Then add in 200lbs of me.

I have a couple of days off so I want to do some needed maintenance. I did my Tundra front brake upgrade last year, so it was time to do my rear brakes. Replaced the shoes and drums with OEM parts.
I also extended the transmission, transfer case and front differential breathers and routed them to a central location.

Gave the truck a good look over, found a couple of leaks that will need to be addressed. But I'm ready for this trip.

I just pried off the thin metal breather cap and used a small hose clamp.

Co worker wants me to cover weekend. So he’s gonna cover mine the weekend of the trip.
    Back in boys!
Now to get Friday off also...maybe Monday too? I know Monday’s kinda up in the air for trip plans.

    Awesome!
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor rona will keep me from finishing the AZBDR this year.
I'm just going to head to the East after we hit pavement at Bitter Springs.

I'm definitely doing Monday unless something catastrophic happens. I too am wrapping up the AZBDR this year.

2/3 of the upgrades to my current Fox setup just came in...back order on the rears, so fingers crossed they get here before the trip!

North, from Fence Lake to the Colorado border. But the route I have chosen keeps me on the dirt while bypassing the Zuni reservation.

i assume your gonna hit the chain of craters byway for that detour? its real dang cool, if you havent already done it, and there are a few lava tube caves to check out if you'll be setting up camp and have time for a stroll.

Hey so I’m gonna scope out Rim Road next week to see if I can find a solid camping spot for lots of people and get a pin location for it. Anyone interested in joining? I suspect/hope no longer snow?

Danny, we have had numerous days of good sun and high-er temperatures. Snow does not appear to be an issue anywhere my friends and I offroad.

I may be able to join, send me what day you're thinking and I'll let you know.
