Not a group I’m particularly proud to be part of, but yes.

    Know any?

You are a VERY busy man!

I bet you don’t do many front/rear axle replacements or swing casting work on backhoes though. And if you do you better post pics!

    True.
I actually just rebuilt a whole front axle on pre 1975 2040. That sucked.

And we do have 2 backhoes on 1025’s in front of the building... but usually the backhoes don’t have issues.

They just switched axle vendors on the cheapo 310s from ZF to an India company, think it’s Caradco or something.....you’ll start fixing them soon I’m sure.

Dubuque Works is in the shitter full on. Just heard from a great buddy in Waterloo and it sounds worse.

Terrible company anymore as far as I’m concerned. But they still toss money at ya.

    Great. That’s gonna suck.

I’ve heard good and bad about the plants. Never been to one. I’m working for a dealer so I don’t get the fun money Deere probably can throw around.

I know they’re freaking out cause we are 5 months out on tractors. We have like 5 in stock across 27 dealers

I think it’s gonna be a good year for Ag, and October is contract time, tractors are sold out, etc. Hope it falls in our favor. But the supply chain is FUBAR right now and Deere doesn’t have the, ahem....how should I say.....most efficient processes in place.
There is something severely lost efficiency wise when a company never has to worry about making payroll. The waste is astounding.

I do most of the pre paint assembly in Backhoe and mount one of your control valves.

Small world. I buy castings and machined valve bodies for those valves.

...and I drive a white access cab

It sure is....I definitely need to be a little more careful about spouting off about the place, some people still have a lot of pride in the green and yellow.

I wish I did but the fuck-it’s going around that factory make COVID look like chicken pox

Oh man. You’re not kidding. I’ve never seen so much stuff wasted. Good wood, parts, it’s crazy.

We sell ALOT of lawn mowers too. That’s a huge apart of our dealership.
Hell last year we sold over 100 1025’s alone

Waterloo axed a whole bunch of people from PEC. Buddy of mine got the boot from waterloo and offered another job at Ankeny works (most didn’t). He’s supposed to relocate whenever the offices open again and isn’t thrilled about it.
