I think a correction is imminent and healthy. When, couldn’t tell you. I think sometime in Q2 probably. It won’t be a crash like March, and unfortunately I don’t think anyone will be spared. Tech is due for a correction the most, energy will come down, oil, corn, tech, financials, ain’t nobody safe this time. But as I said it’s normal and healthy. Don’t panic and you’ll be okay.

I just bought $30 worth of them and I'll see what it looks like in 10 years. Who knows, but it's so little that I don't have to care about it or even think about it. Maybe it will go to the moon, just instead of a rocketship, it's with a ladder...very, very slowly.

What age you all playing around in the market or how long? Just a couple years now here at 31. I'm not sure what I really want my longer term stocks in. I buy in and move around too much probably. My 401 is managed but my Roth is managed by yours truly.

 

I started at around 14 when my grandpa asked me if I was to buy a stock what stock I would like to purchase. I picked Qualcomm, because I had a Qualcomm portable CD player lol.

Christmas gifts from 14 till I was in my late 20s always had stock certificates or transfers.

My grandpa lives in a retirement community now, and he's part of an investment club. He consults my advice (bad decision) whenever it's his turn to suggest a stock to the group.

My last suggestion was PLTR a month ago. Turns out they'd bought it a couple months before. They almost beat even me on a cost basis on that one. Crafty old bastards.

 

Bout 12 years. Got started in '09 with my first big-boy job. Now I grant that I got started at the same time the recovery from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression got started but...the Bogle approach has been very good to me in that timeframe.

I have few tickers (listed earlier in this thread), I don't move them much, and I typically don't mess with rebalancing unless one of my asset categories is 10% or more out of spec.

That's it. Couple hours a month of attention, tops.
