does anyone know if theres a lock available for the cross bars? the tuck away feature is good for wind noise but if u want to put snowboards/ski on top they will get stolen due to that tuckaway feature.

No locks for the OEM rack.

A few mods here and there and counting....
It's still bolted down with a hex bolt where it pivots. Then again most people doesn't know that your crossbars swing out. I wouldn't worry bout it.

tons of ppl have these tacomas now and snowboard set ups cost easily over $500. not worth the risk especially if you're just leaving it outside overnight. have to get that other side mounted down or locked somehow.

I live in a relatively safe neighborhood and theft never crossed my mind (wasn't too worried as there isn't that many Tacoma enthusiasts around here), but i agree, that should be a lock to lock the crossbars down somehow. I do see how theft is possible when i first install my snowboard rack upon seeing how easy it is to unhook and potentially ripping the entire crossbar off or taking off the bolt. Perhaps i will go examine it later and see if a homemade solution can be attempted. :)
