First of all there are so many lift threads I hate to make another. But I have questions! many People mention eibach springs on bily 5100’s. Who actually runs them and are you happy?
    1) I’m lifting my 2010 sport. I have the 5100’s, eibach 2.5 pro springs, icon 2in progressive aal, and a taco lean spacer. Is there more to know before I put everything on? Things maybe you guys would have liked to know before you did something like this? Thanks!

    Basically stock for now.
Whats your history and knowledge level? The rear takes about an hour, total. Front is a little more involved. Depending on rust, hit everything with penetrating oil a few days ahead of time. Have extra coter pins handy. Tools that aren't on the instructions that are handy are pry bars (atleast 2) and a large punch. Torque everything to spec. Plan on having plenty of time to get it done and allow extra if need be. Lastly, a second set of hands is a HUGE help, but not required.

Personally, i'd have a shop put the springs on the 5100s beforehand so you don't have to deal with that. Outside of that, carve out more time than you think and have patience. When I put my rear leafs back on, I had trouble lifting the rear high enough / dropping the axle low enough (I used 2 jack stands and a 6 ton floor jack) so I had to use some wood blocks under the jack lifting higher than I wished. Other than that it was pretty smooth. The other 'gotcha' for me that was obvious after is that the 5100s have an allen slot at the top of the strut to use to keep it from spinning while you tighten the nut. I stared at that while trying to tighten for a long time before I realized there was an allen head to use as leverage haha. Welcome! Post pics!

My history: I loved wrenching so much I became an aircraft mechanic so I’ve got the knowledge and the tools for nearly any job! But I’m only 24 and I like to get other opinions before I start something. Something I was taught working on big stuff. This is the first time lifting a Taco! My last taco I had 4wheel parts level it on their pro-comp shocks and coils and it was awful, I hated driving it. I’m glad this website exists because I didn’t know about “taco lean” until after I ordered everything.. I’m all about doing the job right the first time so thank you for the pointers!

Gutta start somewhere! Ive been turning wrenches since I was little with my dad. Built all of my trucks myself and taught myself a lot. Then worked as a heavy equipment mechanic active duty. If you have questions, someone here will always help out! You might get a lot of grief from some, but theres plenty willing to help. Sounds like youre off to a good start too.

Well I put everything on in just a couple of hours, no problem! It looks great and rides great! I will post pics tomorrow since it was dark when I finished. Now I’m looking at tires since it had
265/70 r17 pathfinders on it when I bought it. There’s definitely plenty of room for growth there! What’s everyone’s opinion on sizes? I’m sitting at 2.75” higher in the front and roughly 1.5-1.75 in the rear. Exactly 23in on four corners from hub to well even though that’s not a super accurate measurement. Thanks!

Nice work! mine sits 23 in front and 23.75 in the back and I have 265/75/16s -- awesome for about 2 months and now they look too small haha -- 33s is the logical next step and should just require a CMC and you'd be good. If you're going to be on the trails I'd recommend 16" rims for more sidewall as you air down. If it were me I'd push it to 35s and call it a day lol.

Here a before and after not any good ones. I haven’t been able to get out and do anything cool yet. But I’ve been driving around and the ride is better on the new springs by a long shot. It’s amazing.

As you can see I’ve got the stock 17in sport wheels. I am interested in going 16’s. But.. I don’t want to spend 1k on wheels alone just to thrash them on some trails. Here locally in az I can get a set of 16 in wheels off of an 18 off road for cheap! What’s the consensus on those? Good wheels? Or go some other rout?
