So I’ve been watching this thread like a hawk while I setup an E*Trade account and transfer funds in. Tomorrow morning (the 4th) is when I have funds available.

I’m thinking it’s too late for gme. The impression I got is that the hype is over and everyone’s looking to GTFO of gme. It was already stupid risky and now it seems worse.

I could probably get in on a dip, but not so confident on a second rise up.

Not really looking for advice, but more curious if you would still get into gme now knowing what you know now?

 

I still would since I am using it as a learning experience.
I remember when Bitcoins and crypto currencies started it sounded like snake oil and look at it now. I missed that train and I don’t want to chase it.

Plus the allure of a good underdog story for my future grandkids is too good to pass!

Watch along with the $VXX and puts. Basically any time it spikes over $2 in a day or 2 you buy the -$2 puts for 1 month out. It’s crazy but they almost always end up in the money. It spiked over 20 on Monday and it’s already at 17 today. The one month out $18 puts are already in the money

 

I have a friend that bought bitcoin early on and is sitting on over half a million worth now. He tried to convince to buy two back in the summer at $8k and I choked and didn't do it. Would be sitting on a pretty $60k profit right now if I'd done it.

 

Before the time I could understand what the stock market was, but in 08 wasnt there a massive short squeeze on volkswagen? Or am I thinking of something else. I saw someone mention it in an article I read speaking about the downtrend after what people thought was the peak, only for it to shoot up to a ridiculous level.

I tied Bitcoin as drug dealer money thanks to The Silk Road getting busted.
So I saw crypto as being some shady complicated thing that was best not to touch.
Looking back, yeah I should have thrown in at least $100 bucks.

 

UWMC (one of the SPAC’s I gambled with before the buyout/ticker change or whatnot went through) had great earnings on their first reported quarter. Here’s hoping it when market opens.

I'd say it's probably a little late on GME. But I don't believe people are necessarily looking to get out. Most people are holding right now. Personally, I am not in GME, but am keeping an eye on it. If it dipped down a bit more, I'd maybe consider it depending on what the interest looked like. But, never invest anything you're not willing to lose into volatile stocks like this. All of my Robinhood money is just play money. All of my serious money is taken care of by my financial advisor and Schwab.

 

Seen a video the other day comparing the VW squeeze trend (2008) to GME (2021). If the trend holds true it looks like GME has a lot of growth potential. I was late getting in and only have a couple shares. Not sure what the outcome will
