Morning, meat-armored bone mechs. Looks like some rain tomorrow to turn the snowbanks into rock-hard armored berms in time for the next storm on Monday.

I've got all the components to do my CB install once it gets nice out :) can't wait. The list is getting shorter . Then it's 33s and skid plates.....unless I jump into a 4runner or new bronco by winning lottery lol

I'm probably going to put together the list of all that I need for the CB this week, and order it to install it next weekend. I'm heading up to Maine on the 20th so that will be a trial run, and then I'm leaving for LA mid March, so I will sooooort of want to have that done up for then.

I think I have my plan. Bracket off back of the bed, driver side (probably hanging off behind the tailgate, might try to find one that keeps it inside the bed, TBD). Run the cable up, how it gets into the cab, TBD. Then up to the radio, which I will likely mount by the right leg on the driver side. Running power directly to the battery, at least for now. Likely to put in a relay which will do power on when truck on only.

OR if I do the cobra, which I am leaning more toward that uniden instead, I would in theory be able to actually put the brain inside the center console like @MikeyMcFly did. I actually might take it off anyway and see if there's room for the uniden in there too. It's a bit bigger but might just fit.

I gotta talk to a coworker today or tomorrow who is likely to have a SWR meter I can borrow to tune it.

My unknown is which antenna (leaning toward a 3' tuneable firestick, single).

Probably my next vehicle. Whether it's the baby or the full size TBD, but probably where I land next. If it's an SUV. If it's a truck then proabably another tacoma.

I fully accept that my musical interests and alcohol tendencies (peach whisky, downeast cider) are that of a sorority girl, and I am fully okay with that.

I'm pretty much a basic bitch.

I meant underneath. I thought it was basically an Escape underneath with a block-ier body.

Yeah, that's correct. Baby Bronco is just an Escape that's spent some time in the gym.

I'm sure it will sell like crazy because it doesn't look like a bloated egg the same as every other "CUV" on the road. But None-the less it's a fraud.

I saw one the other day also and I agree, very underwhelming.

    Eh.
The new body DOES make it a little more capable off-road; better approach and departure angles and it lets them fit larger rubber for better ground clearance.

On the other hand, If I was in the market for a crossover-type SUV I'd rather have a Rav4

Woah, that might be a little extreme.
