    Good question, I assume it would be on a hot engine? I can go back and ask. What would be the difference? Are misfires more common with a cold engine?

    I am unsure if the fuel pump recall was performed on it. Would that be a potential source of misfires if it hadn't been?

    I stay away from THX tunes now. If I want increased throttle response then I tweak tip in.

    Fine tuning the intake has been a thorn in my side. Going to have to try the Atkinson's cycle ignition timing first and see if that helps. Retard the ignition timing a couple degrees at a time. Regardless of what I have for base intake valve values, it's alway area that craves attention. 16-1800 rpm and 60-70% load

    @OVTune
    IF you or anybody else is able to point me in the right direction I would be SUPER grateful!!
    Included link is a fairly typical log and attached is my intake adjustments vs stock. All my spark control tables are 04B04 "standard" 2.0 tune values. This is also posted on VFForum

    EDIT: Looking at your sample "torque maps combined file" The areas in which I experience pinging appear to be retarded slightly vs the stock values on the ignition timing base map. Did you also notice this anomaly?

    Truck had odd behavior, even well beyond the 500 miles. Did a search on the forums and others were having issues as well. Swapped to non-thx, adjusted tip in, and all is well.

    Look in my signature, I have a link to a "vF Basics Spreadsheet" made by @Stormpeacock. It covers typical edits that people will do. Tweaking the tip in values, I felt no difference in throttle response between thx and non.

    Okay, since this has now been tested on a few trucks and looks to be solid, so here's the M+W 3.1 tune on 04C20 (for 2021 AT). It's a pretty straight port, only minor changes to accommodate the slight differences between the ECUs, and some things left untouched (some of the TC maps) since those didn't need touching, they're already good. For the time it took to port this over and test it, feel free to send beer money if you use it!

    Does anyone know if this file above for ECU 04c20 is for premium fuel or regular fuel? Is it for stock tires and gear ratios?

    Hey PapaRee ! - is 4.0 a Premium Octane tune only or did you also create it in Regular Octane ?

    I believe it is an 87 octane file and not a premium but I could be wrong

    Hi all. I have not been on TW much lately. I see this thread is already at about 1500 posts and this thread is new to me. I don't know if this has been discussed somewhere, my Tacoma is working good for the most part. I have an issue while in ECT. If I give steady throttle and let it go thru the gears things are good around 2000rpm and 2500rpm, when I give it enough steady throttle around 3500rpm it wants to short shift on the 2-3 shift by about 1000rpm. At 4000rpm and up is good also. Anyone else encounter this? I am thinking I may need to adjust the ECT shift speed of one or two part throttle parameters.
