Looks good. What kind of paint did you use?

 

I need bout tree fiddy.

For the doors I used leftover Krylon wheel paint (rattle cans), and for the body I used some leftover Behr house paint and rolled it on in three coats.

 

Can you make the strip red.
For racing.

 

You may have just convinced me that I need to do my other two in a gloss black enamel spray paint.


While we're on the topic of painting things...considering doing my IFS skid in something other than black. Truck is Pyrite Mica. Coilover springs are red (Toytec), and so is the outline of "TRD" on the bedside sticker. Thinking a red skid might be too much red, but can't think of any other color that would look good. Maybe I'll just leave it exposed since it is aluminum....decisions, decisions...

Based on my experience though, rolling the three coats of black was WAY easier than spraying the gray paint. Idk if my technique was bad, the power coat wasn’t playing nice, or what, but I kept getting real bad stripes with the spray paint. With the gallon bucket paint, it rolled on way easier and smoother. I used some rough drywall sanding sponges to scuff them up first with both paint types.

 

I hit him up yesterday man, cool guy. Idk if I'll end up going that route though cause like Craig said, I'd need those fillers that go between the bumper and headlight since mine's damaged. The shop my truck is at said they'd have to buy a new bumper then cut it, so literally no savings in it for me

Looking for the OE shackles, U-Bolt Plates, factory bump stops. Basically, the stuff holding the leaf springs to the axle and frame.
