URD 3.5L Supercharger

Nice! I’ve been looking at this setup, but seems they never have any in stock. Much cheaper and installing has to be quicker that the Mag.
How’s the throttle response feel? I have the Ovtune 2.0 now, but I feel the truck needs more power even with the manual.

Also after URD tuned my truck, that corrected the "gear-hunting" and also gave me great throttle response. Definitely a huge upgrade over stock.

EDIT: I also installed the supercharger with the stock tune and stock gearing. I haven't re-geared and don't plan on it.

Nice, how many lbs of boost does the base kit make? I have the URD blower on my 2.7L and it really woke the truck up, even down low. I bet it's great in the 3.5 application as well

 

Mine is conservatively tuned at 6psi

Probably HPTuner if I had to guess - which I am!

 

Does HPTuner have a working tuning software for the 3rd gens? I thought OvTune's VFTuner was the only working one. I could be wrong. Unless HPTuner is using VFTuner to make their tunes, like how Magnuson does it.

You are correct about Magnuson and Gen3 they are .vft. I thought OVTune said Gadget was not using .vft, but maybe so as I am not sure if HPTuner cracked the Gen3 ECU code too. ??? OP should know how they tuned and flashed his truck. OP ??

Looks like a Rotrex blower they are using. I had a S2000 with a Kraftwerks supercharger, which uses a C38-81 blower with a 95MM pulley and cogged belt. I was able to push 14.5psi and gain almost 200WHP. Would be very interesting to see a Tacoma with 14lbs. of boost

How’s your mpg?

 

Look at the first post to get an idea of how heavy and un-aerodynamic my truck is. Fully loaded with bed full of tools and camping gear, 16 highway 12 city.
