I know I can check continuity with a meter. For example, connecting the meter on both ends of a wire and seeing if you hear a beep. That’s as far as my knowledge goes for using the meter hah. How did you go about checking it for turn signal wire?

I disconnected the tail light and ran a long wire connected to the turn signal plug from the tail light and checked the continuity from the long wire and the wire that I pointed out. I don't know if that made sense lol

Well they say when you assume, you only make an ass of yourself. In my case, I found out my sr5 was already prewired for the lights :facepalm:lol. Went through a whole process of soldering the old 090 connections back into the plastic. A simple plug and play lead into hours of salvage.
Lesson learned and thanks for everyone’s help!
