First............. truck looks great, beautiful set up. However, and not trying to offend you this is a serious question. You have a $40,000 truck, estimate $10,000 camper and you went with rough country suspension? I have always stayed away from RC and I have heard nothing but bad info on their cheap components. Is this something new?

Yea I understand that. For sure valid question. I’ve heard the same thing but when I researched the vertex coils and shocks I’ve seen nothing but good things from keep forms etc. They are newer within the last 2 years or so. But I compared the specs and also warranty with king. If something goes wrong I have 3 years to test them. I know kings are great but after doing my research I decided to go with these. So far they are awesome, comfortable ride and awesome adjustment but time will tell.

You guys will have a blast! You being in Downey, try something in Big Bear or Wrightwood area if it doesn’t have too much snow. If you want desert, Joshua Tree just opened up camping again or get out to Anza Borrego. All the primitive camping in Anza Borrego is open, fun, and free.

As I recall, the Up-Top was a bit less $$ than the Prinsu. Pretty close tho' - I think they are comparable quality.

Great to hear! I had to google them before I asked because never heard of the Vertex name. Sounds like a good deal especially warranty, etc. I have Kings and got them when I was stationed in CA, but when I need to change them out I will probably try something different. So many companies to choose from nowadays.

I've actually done a couple of things since I last posted in here, but today I installed my HDX step rails. 20210204_153816.jpg 20210204_153933.jpg 20210204_154024.jpg 20210204_154006.jpg

Washed with chemical guys clean slate, clay bar, the polished with NuFinish. Can ceramic coat be placed on top of NuFinish since it does not contain any wax?

Funny thing is, she hates to be in the truck, the one just out of the frame loves to jump in the back.

Personally I wouldn’t, I’d strip it of everything to reduce the risk of any contaminants messing with the ceramic coat.

Ceramic coating must adhere directly to the paint. It will not stick to NuFinish. You will need to strip that off, then wipe the truck down with isopropyl alcohol prior to applying the ceramic coating.
