Low to zero unless they are designing the lower half of the X1 to be taller just for the 2nd gen.

However, this is unlikely as I remember earlier in this thread recently it was stated that they are making the X-1 interchangeable between all Tacoma generations.

The 3rd gen bedsides are taller, which results in a taller gap between the overhang and the bed.
The 2nd gen and 1st gen bedsides are shorter which result in a more flush application.

its 100% in its current state. You will either need to trim or cut it off or buy a new one. Buying a new one from sherpa, martin, prinsu about $400 so after you take off prinsu, sell, ship (unless local) its a mute. I will be cutting mine. I am going to try and trim mine so I can have at least 4 mounting feet instead of just 2 but yes no way to keep it due to flexion.

In terms of boxing the frame. I have been considering that as well. I am concerned with weight but def something that would be good. I will have hangars, cross brace and a shock tower brace.

is it super hard to pop off the factory ones? bringing both might be a good idea if SP will allow for some fiddling before install...

not hard at all! They just pop off takes me 1 min why i dislike them. The metal rails get sandwiched between the factory channel rail. Using the factory 5 Torx-30 screws hold it in. Takes about 10 mins or so.

figured i talk with Spencer seeing if we could try and see how it looked and measured out. that way he has that info and others would too with the voodoo ones being same thickness. Figured i ask if that be ok. once i have an install date.

Nice, hope that means mine is coming soon!

I've just sealed my bed rails and got the plywood for my base and rear seat platform. Time to get to work!
