Dealer lift kit installed?

I brought my 2021 SR5 in for the 5k service and in talking to the person at the service desk I found out they still had some kits left that haven't been installed on new vehicles.

Looong story short is it worth saving me the time to price out and purchase all the materials and find a shop to install vs. the dealer installing a Rough Country 3" front/ 2" rear lift with front differential drop and maintain my warranty for $1350 out the door? Includes free loaner car for the 1 day install.
No real off road need, more cosmetic and to fit some larger tires.

From the pictures I took I believe it is the $300 kit. I agree I could get it cheaper to purchase(thanks for the quick research). I guess I just need to ponder getting my son-in-laws help with the install and I assume I'll need an alignment after install?

Spacer lifts ride horrible.

 

So your wanting to put a $300 lift on your $30,000+ truck?

 

He’s saying that the spacers are going to be detrimental to your ride quality

 

Also, keep in mind that if you do a full 3” you’re probably going to need new UCA’s, and an ecgs bearing if 4wd. Unfortunately, it’s hard to cut corners lifting these trucks

 

Do it right, do it once.

 

Thanks, this is the feedback I was looking for. Definitely not concerned about cost or going cheap, just wasn't sure I needed the full on high end kits for no real hard core off-roading

I think 2 maybe 2.5” is as high as you can lift and still get an alignment in spec without aftermarket UCA’s

 

Adjustable, but I set mine at 2.5” in the front. I’ve been as high as 3” but start having problems with CV angles. You’ll be close to $4k for a set up like this, $5k if you can’t DIY.

Depending on how you plan on using the truck should determine which lift you should get. Pavement princess, you’ll be fine fine with spacer and blocks. Occasional off road no need for resi’s but definitely wouldn’t go with spacers/blocks. Hardcore off-road then do some good research. The buy once cry once is bullshit if your truck is gonna see pavement it’s whole life. Imo bilsteins and an aal is a good middle of the road place to start and then it down the road if an upgrade is needed you can.

I don't have a problem with the spacer lift, I've had one on my old truck. But lately I've been having the mindset related to your comment.
Could I make a nice rear seat delete myself for 200 bucks? Sure. But goose gears is done, looks good, and did I say done already. I'd rather put something nice in my new 40k truck. This man's comment is something to REALLY think about.

Use the 1400 for a better kit, then have a mod day where buds come over and help you install it. Or, just save your money. Were you even thinking about a lift kit till they told you about it?

It was REALLY hard to pull the trigger. BUT. I want it for a dog crate, a big one. And i want my new truck, not filled with dog hair, not yet anyways. I still care, in 6 months i wont care as much. But I don't have buyers remorse.

 

I appreciate all the feedback and have done some research. I totally get the buy once buy quality and never look back thought process but wasn't convinced I needed a $4k suspension mod for it to sit in my parking spot at work and drive the grandkids around on the weekends. I didn't buy the truck with a lift and everything else because I thought those days were behind me but unfortunately the bug is coming back!!
