2022 Frontier’s tailgate doesn’t look a thing like Tacoma’s. Not at all.

I think they did a great job with the redesign and the powertrain sounds good on paper. Obviously took some design cues from Tacoma and F150. It’s no surprise since those two are the best selling pickups in their classes. Alas I’m loyal to Toyota and would never buy a Frontier regardless of what it looked or performed like.

 

The powertrain actually already has a year under its belt. They dropped the new powertrain in the old body. The 2021 is already running it.

 

It should be locked. The 3rd gen is a catch all for all kinds of new vehicle releases. We might as well call it the 3rd gen and do you think my sister is prettier than me thread. If you're interested in other women take it on the down low I think there's forums for Rangers, Frontiers and Ridgelines aka the superior truck

Damn, the whole truck looks like a Tacoma, down to the cement color! Its a good looking truck now, but only because it looks like a Tacoma!

 

Actually the frontiers roof looks like the tacoma's.

Heritage. It’s like our plastichrome bumpers. It gets us in the feels.

 

Looks like an early Kia before Kia had any brand identity and just copied different parts from other manufacturers; Mercedes headlights, BMW tails, Nissan belt line, Toyota doors etc and hot glued them all together.

 

Looks good to me. I drove an 05 NISMO EC 4wd for 11 years 135k no issues...back when trucks looked liked trucks not like SUVs with a bed. Maybe when I hand down this truck to my son I’ll give it a hard look.

 

This Frontier reminds me of when I was a kid and asked for Transformers for Christmas, but got GoBots instead.
