My 02 is stuck in 4wd!!!!

    Hey guys! Alot of you know that my 02 Taco got totaled and Ive been slowly fixing it to be driveable, so I can move it to my buddy's place. (hes buying it)
    Well today I got the Driveshaft put in and then drove it up and down the street, but in 4wd bc it was used to move it previously. But It wont come out of 4wd, its stuck.
    What can I try to get it un-stuck?

    whatever the problem is, its probably electrical rather than mechanical. When I press my button I hear a short burst of EMI in the CB speaker. Like an electric motor just moved a lever or engager or something.

    Could there be a connection that got jarred loose in the accident or maybe during all the stuff you've done since then to get it back running?

    I had a problem similar to this. I had to put it in park, then go to 4wd hi then move it into drive, and that fixed it.

    lol.... Well I will have to try that, and I also heard that If I go in reverse for a little bit and then brake hard, that might help.

    4Runner- wagoneer Dana 44 front lunchbox locker. Rear stock axle spooled. Beadlocks and 36s 3link rear, leaf front, dual transfer cases 1980 pickup- exo cage. Locked front and rear on 40s dual transfer cases. Custom paint job
    i had this happen in my ford, stuck in 4 low out in pismo, and tried a bunch of diffferent things, finally went under the hood and found where the relay for the 4x4 switch was, unpluged it and pluged it back in and it was good to go again

    Just tryed to disengage it again, by backing up and doing other things to try to get it to work, but when I switch it to 2wd I dont even here the actuator, can someone tell me were this is located...
