Interesting did not know that. Funny that anyone would think an extra foot of bed is worth more than a locker and atrac. lol. I guess the LB sport would be a no go for me.

In The US the Sport and Off Road have the exact same price if configured the same, not sure about Canada though.

Stupid Toyota, I don’t understand why they don’t sell a manual access cab TRDOR in the US
Never knew they didn’t sell the TRDOR in a long bed in Canada
Can always import if you want to go through some pain

I will be using this truck fairly well as a work truck around the acreage. That extra foot means a lot when hauling a 4x8 sheet of product. It's doable with 5' bed but not ideal.
    I could sleep in a 6' bed barely, not a chance in a 5'.

From what I've found in past 2 weeks of searching in Canada. Offroads are hard to find and tend to be 4-5k more expensive

It seems they only sell one wheelbase TRD Offroad in Canada. Either Double Cab short box or access cab long box. must be a numbers thing.
Importing doesn't seem worth the effort. Worst case I hate the short box and trade it out in the future. Toyota tax is a real pain when first time buying, but it's great when re-selling

I do a lot of work around our horse farm - there are times I would like a longer bed, but I appreciate the shorter wheel base when I'm driving around our river trails, and we have several trailers when I need space. I drive down into our river and often need a locker to get up the river banks. That being said, if you are doing "light" off roading, the Sport is more than fine and the long bed will be much appreciated. From what you've said there is probably no place you will ever be that you would need the locker...in fact if I did not have it I could easily suffice, as I would just pick different tracks up and down the banks. If it were me I'd go for the best deal, as they are BOTH great trucks and both plenty capable.

That model is only available in Canada, the only way to get an Access Cab MT in the US is in a Sport.

If you NEED the long bed, go sport. It will be plenty capable.

It just doesn't make sense that they don't make more of them.

Crawl Control is a gimmick, and you can add a lunchbox locker for less than $400 if you decide you need one. Can't add a foot to the bed.

Yup. I would have jumped on one if available but was at least thankful to have three MT Sports to choose from locally. If MGM wasn't so close, or that same as, our Subaru's dark grey, I would have went with that. BR works though.

Just in case, that is a Canucky Taco in the vid.

Sport is just a Ridgeline in disguise.....

For virtually the same price, with an Off Road, you get the Locker & Crawl Control.. NO BRAINER!

More importantly, test drive them both, and you will find the Off Road rides much smoother than the Ridgeline.
