I'm gonna wait till the 2nd gen S2000 gets announced in a few years. It's rumored to have the Type R 2.0 turbo, which is a great engine. By then I should have the Lexus paid off, if the S2000 is fugly I'll shop around.

Of course if the GR Corolla actually comes out in the meantime this whole thing comes crashing down, because that little thing looks gnarly. It's a good looking car, stack that with the iMT being fun AF, but then add in ~270 HP and an AWD system you can set to 70% rear bias? hohohohoho

It's been a long time since an exciting Corolla has even been in the pipeline at Toyota.

The GR Yaris is a tiny beast, and the Corolla with that powertrain could be awesome.

I don't know about you guys, but I like when its cold(actual cold not phoenix cold). Apparently a rare event for the USA called a polar vortex is happening. https://mashable.com/article/polar-vortex-2021-cold-temperatures/
This article I thought was interesting. Could be a lot more snow if there's any kind of precipitation during this.

 

I'm from upstate NY, we get hit with polar vortexes quite often. I'm assuming this one is rare because of the amount of the country it is affecting with one storm?

Honestly summer wouldn't be so bad if the lows weren't in the mid to high 80's. If it at least cooled down to like 75 at night it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah the speculation is kind of rampant at this point- the TNGA architecture is so modular that all of the GR Yaris stuff will fit in the Corolla, it's just a matter of whether or not Toyota actually wants to do it, and/or what sort of price point they want to hit.
I've heard FF only, I've also heard that it will have the torque biasing AWD.
I've also heard rumors of 8AR-FTS (Turbo 2.0 from the Lexus) instead of the 3 banger from the Yaris but I'm thinking that's wishing for too much. Never know though, I know 3-bangers don't move units for the paper stats warriors because people think "Geo Metro"

Then they also don't want to scalp unit sales from the 86 or baby Supra... so they may arbitrarily kneecap it to fit some kind of hierarchy.

As long as it's more than the nothingburger that the Apex edition was.

So I looked it up. Over 100,000 miles and they want 25K for it. They can shove that shit sooooooo far up their ass.
