Couldn't help but to rip this thing open. So pumped. Might be able to actually test drive it next week.

    For reference:
Length (flange to flange): 67.5" which I believe a stock tacoma is between 69-70"
    Tundra bolt pattern: 88 x 88
    T-case adaptor flange: 76 x 76
    Double cardan joint at t-case
    1350 spicer joints

Loving the 10.5 swap! Very curious to hear if the sensors will work properly...

Thanks! No traction control or ABS codes, but yeah I am curious how A-trac and normal traction control works out.

Yeah I took a quick spin around the block this past weekend. Everything seems to be working. I live in WI and I don't drive it in the winter because of the salt; it was still pretty slushy out. I was avoiding the slush or I could have easily kicked on the traction control. Hopefully we have some nice days coming up so I can take it up to speed and push it a little bit.

DP has been out of the garage once in the last two months. I do the same thing.

Excellent. That is great to hear... I have a 2nd gen Tundra 9.5" axle that will be going under my 2019... and the bearings were high on this list of what if. Might still try to figure out a full floter.

FYI, or maybe you know? Toyota has a manual trans that was installed behind the 2UZ in the Land Cruiser 100 Series.

The other aspect I'm not too sure about is the brake bias. The brakes on the tundra axle are massive. They fill up the entirety of my 17s haha.

That manual was offered in the US?? I would think if it works on the 2uz that hopefully it works on the 3uz. I dont like that the 2uz is an iron block.

If you dont care about the Toyota aspect, i would just go full floater. I'm still trying to find a company that will make me custom axle shafts :(

The rear Tundra brakes suffer from air flow issues. They are the first to fade, even when used with the 14" Tundra front brakes. Still a huge upgrade over the tiny Taco drums.

No for the USA, foreign market only.... but that stuff is easy to source these days. The Land Cruiser H150F 5 speed. Need to look around and see which UZ blocks will bolts to it. A 2nd Gen Tundra or Land Cruiser 200 t-case will bolt to the back of it. Some 4:1 gears in one of those cases would be sweet... hmmmm.

What do you need for shafts?

They are actually powerstop brake calipers, rotors, and pads, but I'm not too worried about it. Yeah just oem replacement.

I'll have to take a look. I'm still liking the idea of installing an R155F behind it due to availability, but that's into the future. Many other things I would like to change before then. A 4:1 t-case would be nice. I honestly don't have any complaints with my current gearing in 4lo but if the R156F fits from the 3rd gen tacos, I would go that route instead of the R155 due to the lower first gear in the R156F

I just want an oem replacement with a 6 lug pattern and 106 hub bore. I had Moser redrill, plug, and turn down to make the axles work with my current wheels. I would like to have for future availability...maybe chromoly. I'm surprised since the axle has been around for about 14 yrs now.

Have you had a tundra in the past?
