Can we agree that this is nothing more than look at that pretty woman over there situation. I think the reason this topic has come up so many times in the last day is envy. They hit it out of the park on styling, good for them. Sure it might be an F150 and Tacoma love child, but who cares?

I've considered the Frontier in the past, but can't get over how steep the depreciation is. The old one is a good truck, yes it's dated, but the drivetrain is solid.

I'm alone in my thinking, but the 3rd gen section shouldn't be a catch all for this stuff.

When I saw it I was thinking man, this thing looks great. Then I realized I like it because I already own it.
Just look at that tail gate

ooo. I do like that actually. I like the taillights better. Hopefully they stuck with amber signals!

Also a lot of vehicles are all starting to follow similar shapes due to pedestrian safety crash requirements.

The grill size/portions, the fender flares, overall shape compared to other mid-sizers. To me, I always kind of thought the 3rd gen Taco looked like a taller version of the Dakota. But, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't see it. I see it more when looking at them in person rather than by photo.

Front end looks alot like the Titan Warrior concept from a couple years ago.

Sort of. If you look close, particularly at the center stack, you'll notice hard and textured plastics that seem to be out of the 2000's, still. Very utilitarian, but also kind of disappointing for a truck that was 17 years in the making. In my opinion, anyway. I don't think it is ugly, necessarily. But outdated already.

It might just be me, but I don't care for the "wrap around" hoods. I prefer the body lines where the hood lines don't come down over the top of the fenders. The full sized Chevy's did this several years ago, and I think that it takes away from the body lines.

Looks more like a Ranger. The wheels look like Tacoma OR wheels.

32 more hp, more tech, and 32 inch tires stock. Sounds like a new sheriff is coming to town. :D

Just the rims and back end. Then again, how much can you do when you're the last to update your mid size.

i would place it in the utilitarian category. If its being used as a truck you do want harder materials

i like simple when driving and actual buttons as opposed to a center screen that controls everything. I dont want to scroll through menu's to get to my AC system.

If things look smartly placed its a thumbs up for me. I actually think its a better design than the tacoma atleast you wont change into 4Hi while trying to adjust the fan control or hit the hazard switch (nissan went with different diameter and tactile feel for the different controls )
