Realistically I’d like to be able to use the same antenna mounts for vhf but I’ll probably just leave it cb permanently and use a handy for VHF stuff.

I like how easy it was to install while being fully PnP. Is it the best bang for the buck? I have no basis, but the highs in my truck sound quite good. It’s the mids and bass that I struggle with. In the old days I found 6x9s could have some decent thump, even un-amped and mine just...don’t.

The 3G rear speakers are effectively useless, even upgraded as the HU doesn’t send a ton of power back there. I figure I can balance that with an amp.

My wife’s Jeep stock system sounds better than mine in terms of mids and lows, so there has to be a disconnect somewhere. My originally subwoofer doesn’t help. It’s either too much bass or not enough depending on the source, song and amp gain knob setting.

OK so I’m getting gas with my 2010 manual transmission. I push the clutch to start and the truck turns over and then the clutch doesn’t return to it’s normal position when I take my foot off it stays down. The clutch is stuck engaged. I can’t move The pedal back to the floor now that I’ve raised it. I turned my truck off I can use the clutch start override button to start it but I can’t shift gears any ideas

The clutch cancel is a type of crawl control, so if you need to move a little, maybe shift with truck off into 1st or maybe even 2nd and start with clutch cancel and ride the momentum :notsure:

When that happened to my Accord in high school my slave cylinder went bad.

That's what's weird. It's the opposite. The pedal is stuck in it's normal resting position and cannot be pushed to the floor. No matter how hard you push it feels like you'll snap the pedal before it will move. I believe the clutch is still physically engaged because I could shift the gears without any grinding...
    I'm sure it's a master/slave issue..

My apologies, I misread your post. I saw the comment about it going to the floor and not retracting, but the the fact it now doesn’t go down.

When mine didn’t pop back up, I never attempted to lift it by hand as it was in my Mom’s driveway so I simply left it there.

Yup then they built the Explorer on that platform which had issues, if you remember those

It's not terrible to run a 4 through these trucks, I can show you where I did mine.

They're out of stock on Crutchfield but I like the Pioneer and Kicker 5 channel for about the same money.

    Or do this combo:

Holy shit, that's a sweet pic! Yes, those 440's were scary fast and the Blizzard (I think that's what that is??) was no slouch either.

Well I had it towed because it's february and I'm not dealing with 200,000 miles of rust on the original clutch...
    This is fine right :)
He calls me "Ah, yeah, your slave is stuck. I hit it with a hammer and it didn't move...also your master is not in good shape either so if I'm in here..."
I said go ahead, and it's an old truck so let me know if you see any other weird stuff...
He laughed and said "There's get it driving, and there's get it fixed..."
I said "Definitely driving, let me know if you see anything else that needs fixing..."
Over the phone quote $400. Master and Slave replacement, flush and refill...I'll pay that fair price any New England winter...
I'm sure the dealer would have been 3x that.

Looks crusty, but I personally wouldnt pay $400 for a job that is less than $100 in parts

Nice! I actually need to find out where the body shop took my truck when they did it. I was NOT expecting them to do the interior, let alone do it goodly! So that was a nice little present. I'd happily tip and do that one again.

Nice! Nice little run up right now too I only put in 150 but I'm at 220 this morning so, nice little beer money there.

That's fair as hell, considering it's freezing and the parts aren't too much less than that anyway I don't think. About 100$/ea and the fluids. :notsure:

    Added flavour.

I don't have a garage. It's snowing again. It's something I would do if I had a car hole...but driveway wrenching this rust bucket in 20 degree weather...
And I KNOW there's going to be issues with a flare nut for sure...and I'll mess up bleeding the line at least once...
ANd the cut I'll get on my thumb..

Oh and my wife...."You've got the money, just pay for it"
