Just me personally but I wouldn't do that amp. Clarion has been out of the picture for a while now and no way they are making all those numbers out of that little thing. I understand about the cable but honestly it would be totally worth it to replace it with a 4awg. Do you still have the stock hu? If so it’s better to make sure to get an amp with high level inputs.

This maybe more than you want to spend but it's got all the right stuff and much more headroom for your bass

    That sucks!

    Just crash it again? :notsure:

I bought in $500 the other day, before it dropped like $100 in value yesterday :goingcrazy:

So I'm up like $28 overall.

Wife saw me under the truck taking pictures this morning and googling that shit on youtube and she's "Did you call a garage yet? You're not thinking of doing THIS yourself are you?"

I should go buy a car to drive around just so I can fix my truck at my leisure... :)

    Buy a nissan leaf! :boink:

I am actually thinking of that this summer. There's a MT fiesta for sale in Seekonk I saw the other day. Nothing special but would be fun to tool around town in an MT when I want to time to time. Not an ST though. Basically spend a few k on a beater to beat on.

Don't tempt me, wheeling season is up and coming  but I will have sliders and a skids this time SO it will have to be a spectacular crash to need repairs after that...

    :burnrubber::mudding:

Yeah I bought in I think near the end of December. I'm like 95% BTC 5% LTC, on blockfi so 6% interest on BTC 6.5 on LTC. yee haw! The gains have paid for my CB setup if I pulled it today.

I swapped out my access cab wiring...the front doors were a joke. I just disconnected the rears because they're those headliner paper speakers. I went with the Alpine Power Pack amp Bridged 90wx2 and it runs off the stock electric.
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500KTP445U/Alpine-KTP-445U-Power-Pack.html
No rewire. I zip tied it to the dash rails above the glove box. Relplaced the stock speakers with Polk Components with tweeters and crossovers mounted behind the kick plates...Replaced the head unit with a simple usb apple single din cd/HD radio...
Whole thing is clean. No visible difference and I could finally "hear" podcasts while driving on the highway...
But I'm not running a Sub...
Install pics...Including how to make your own Tweeter mounts from a plastic cutting board :)
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/media/albums/polk-mm6501-and-alpine-ktp-445u-install.30097/

Oh you're in the 3G taco...Forget it...I hate new car radios and their damn integration

A lot of the new aftermarket HUs are plug and play, drop it in and good to go.

One of those wireless carplay adaptors is like 180 bucks. A new HU w/ wireless built in and OEM support etc etc is 300$ for a cheap one. For an extra 120 I would just ditch entune and get a new HU entirely!

It's bad enough the neighbors have 2 SUV's that are out of commission and 1 old NAPA delivery truck that still has the hat on the roof...

All my stuff runs, but it does kinda look like a used car lot

I have too many uses for each vehicle. One is a winter daily, one is a summer daily/racecar, one is the home improvement truck/tow rig, one is the plow truck, one is the dedicated trailered trail rig.

    Bitchin!

Also one thing I have considered for a second vehicle - Subarururu. Get an old hatch impreza. That could probably fit in my garage, that would be the benefit. And it would work in the snow so I could have a garaged vehicle for snow storms!

But most likely I won't buy anything at all. :D

Finally got my CRC done yesterday. They also took it upon themselves to "fix" the secondary air pump recall. I had already replaced that filter with a Uni filter but they threw one of the new ones in and surprisingly they took my filter off and left it in the truck. Obviously haven't been able to crawl under the truck and look to see what they coated besides seeing some of their slime near the cab mount.

I couldn't get in for new NH Oil this year but touched up everything with woolwax so honestly what I do each season is more beneficial than this CRC but at least I know if needed a new frame is in my future.
