What's everybody's problem with the MPG?

I’ve went through over 3/4 of a tank in my Trans Am in like 25 minutes. Stock fuel tank. Of course we averaged 140mph over the 59 mile course at the Big Bend Open Road Race. GPS showed a max speed of 170mph. And it is just heads and cam. No power adders.

 

I get 12-14 mpg...Who’s complaining??

 

My truck is lifted and I drive it hard. I average 14-17MPG. If I wanted great fuel economy I would be on the Prius forum right now lol.

 

My older brother would fill up his '66 Impala SS with that 260 juice (loved those rotary "pick your octane" dials on the pump!) at a station in Bridgeport. Then head to Seaside Park and race ;-) Good times.

 

If I was remotely concerned about mileage I wouldn't be driving a lifted, armored truck with over sized tires.

 

I get 11 in city. Comes at my own expense with bigger tires, lift. Not OV tuned or re-geared. It sure blows, but I don’t care.

 

I get better mileage using my foot on the gas pedal than I get using the cruise control. That being said, I usually use the cruise control. I really like the adaptive cruise control.

My Tundra gets 15 in city and 18 on interstate. One mpg less than my Tacoma did.

 

I get that on my stock Tacoma.

 

Nailed it. It all depends on how you drive and whether you give a shit about it(or can afford the time to take your time). Every vehicle I’ve ever driven had a range for mileage that depended partly on what the vehicle had to do and the rest on how I made it do that job.

 

She’s a 2008 TRD Sport double cab. Had her since day one. Decided just to check almost 13 years later. All city miles over the last couple weeks or so.

are you stock? Im on 265’s, sliders, and skids, if i drive like a nut i get 13 mpg, if i drive gently i get 18 max. Im not complaining though, i dont care about mpg, gas is cheap these days
