Just bought a homebuilt utility trailer from a neighbor, any ‘gotchas’ in the title/registration process I should be aware of? Also, can’t find anything that says I do or don’t need insurance for it.

    2004 thingy
When I registered my home built trailer they asked to see receipts of products purchased for the build so they could tax on it. I had no receipts as it was half a pickup truck and some scrap steel. Only purchased a jack and tongue so I showed them those 2 and said I built the rest out of scrap/junk I had laying around. They gave it the $500 minimum taxable value and issued me a vin tag and title.

Got the title from my neighbor (he'd bought it from the person who had built it), and a bill of sale, so hopefully I'm good on taxable value. Going to be annoyed if they tax me at $500, since I only paid $100

Oh, I misread or didn't notice you already had a title. I was thinking you needed to title the 1st time. You'll just register it like anything else then. You'll have the $500 minimum taxable value

Get it weighed, go highway patrol to inspect it, and then pay the DMV for a Vin tag and plates.

The rock trails were a shitshow for the EMC this year. Stock class (4600) was running spooners and outer limits for the first time ever. Several trucks broke in a bottle neck and blocked the trail for almost 3 hours. Caused a ton of people to time out. Sherpa Motorsports 4628 was included in those that timed out. Our truck is based on a 4th gen v8 4Runner and it did not break! Everything looked great through the two passes through remote pit one as well as the stop in main pit. Can’t wait to come back next year even better
