@Tour991 is coming down sometime in May, dates TBD...probably one of the trails going up the east side of Big Bear that are less crowded. White Mountain or Heartbreak Ridge are fun and not too crazy. He's bringing his 2nd gen so I dunno if we want to be doing the likes of Gold Mountain or John Bull lol.

So yesterday, that small box with the legs was box 2 of 1 for my sliders.

Guess the delivery guy left it on a truck for the next guy to deliver cause that shit is 54lbs

Expected delivery today.

I'll go home and leave a note with a tip for the guy.

 

Gold Mountain has become the overland standard for "hardcore" wheeling in Big Bear lately so we probably wouldn't want to do that one anyway. When that trail gets backed up with people that don't know what they're doing it sucks hard

 

I wanna see more of the Rivians, I took one of there accountants to take pictures and he made them sound good

 

Damn, that's a 6.7 - 7hr drive for me which will suck on only 2 days off.

If it's during the week I can try and swing it; maybe leave early morning to camp there, and wheel the next day?

 

Watch Long Way Up. It's on Apple TV. Mostly motorcycle adventures of Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor. However, they have a full camera crew since they made it a series and the support vehicles are all Rivian prototypes. Both Rivian and Harley really stepped up to the plate for the show and put their names on the line with pre-production vehicles. The Harley's were their new e-bikes.

I was super impressed with the Rivians and when I looked them up later, was further impressed that they also have a SUV version.

Only drawback is the price tag.

 

Shoving my wife and 2 dogs in the regular cab for 10 hours each way is not going to fly.
