They did. Once Sig won the MHS trials for the US Army, the Army mandated changes to the action to fix issues with safety and reliability.

The same changes are only available to civilians on a voluntary basis as the result of Sig settling out of court (they were sued in a class action for their lack of drop safety and chance to AD).
