My apologies I should have been more specific. Would I have any clearance issues with the uca? Frame rubbing? Factoring a lift, pinch weld hammered, cab mount relocation already incorporated in. I am gauging to see if spacers will be needed. I would rather not but if I have to what is minimum size (spacer) will I need to clear?

Spacers make rubbing worse for everything but the UCA.

Are you asking if you’ll rub without any trimming?

You are not wrong. I am hoping that someone with the same specs can chime in, to give me their experience with this wheel/tire combination.

I am aware that trimming will be involved my major concern is the inner clearance of potential rubbing on the uca and frame and having to run wheel spacers.

I have a 16x8 -12 offset and that tire size. You won’t rub on the UCA. Even a JBA I don’t think you’ll rub. I rub in mine a little at full lock.

But you’ll definitely rub on the normal stuff (cab mount, finer fender, top inner fender, front fender.

You’ll be fine on the UCA then. It’s the other stuff that’ll be the normal work.

Ok that’s what I was hoping. Trimming is not a concern as that comes with the territory. But having to finesse clearance issues with the UCA would be unfortunate. Thank you for your response.

I hope you guys can chime in and share some expertise to help me out too. I’ve read this thread a lot and realize I probably should have got -20 offset 16x8 wheels but I ended up ordering a set of tes in September with the following specs
    16x8 0 offset 4.5” bs

I plan on wrapping them with 315/75r16 atw3s

I am currently am running the following setup
    -Front Coilovers: King 2.5 Adjustable,
    -Front UCA: Icon Delta Joint
    -Rear Shocks: King 2.5 x 12″ Adjustable
    -Rear Springs: Icon RXT Pack
-Rear U-Bolt: Archive Garage Flip with 2.7″ Super Bumps
    -Rear Archive Garage Hammer Hangers

    With about 2” of lift

I have to run spacers in the rear to clear the smoothies but for the front do you guys think I’m going to have uca rubbing issues? Not sure if I should go the spacer route or just ditch the Tes and get a new set? I currently have a pretty aggressive cmc, hammered pinch welds, viper cut and plan on trimming my fenders next month. Can someone shed some light for me I’m pretty stressed out about trying mount them next week lol

Not sure as I don’t have those UCAs. If they rub you might wanna try some 1/4 inch front Bora spacers probably be good. Cheap to try out instead of buying new wheels.

Awesome thanks! You think just the .25” would be cool? And not step up to .5”? I was also told a .25 would be cool by Ryan(shmellfab) just want to be safe before I custom order those from bora haha

So I would suggest .5”. But the problem is there probably won’t be enough threads left on the studs. You could buy the extended studs, install and then put on the .5” spacers. That’ll for sure keep it off your UCA. I’ve never replaced the studs so don’t know how much work it is.

285-70-17s should be wider than the 10.5 kendas (if mounted on the same wheel). It should be around ~11.2 inches wide.

Cut, tub, weld, replace steering rack. I've thought about it considering all the work going into having 35s fit properly but for how often I wheel, it would be a huge PITA on the streets.

yes they are, but a little confusing but I was speaking in regards to the nitto trail grappler 35/11.5. Kendas were too skinny for my liking, so I ended up with the trail grapers.

I love my nitto ridge grapplers and I know the trail graps are awesome too but both are really heavy for 35s. I’m mostly street too so the trail graps wouldn’t be the best for me. Most likely I’ll get the kenda 35x12.5x17 after I get regeared.

my 35/11.5 trail grapplers weight just about the same as the 35/12.5 kendas, 35/12.5 TG is a different story however.
