    Yes, all HDPE drawers.

This is a small sampling of the issues. Apparently some things aren’t designed for the rain and humidity of the Midwest. Resealed this that and the other thing. New gaskets. A bunch of marine sealant. Still leaked like a mofo.

It wasnt designed to channel and manage water flow from the rain (since thats not really a thing in Arizona), so it basically ran right in the doors.

Other issues with short cuts on build quality i discovered after the fact.. simple things like wire management, termination and shielding which should be thought out in a $30k off road trailer.. not a spool of wire run with no shielding and basic crimps (not even water tight ones exposed in the undercarriage).

I had it for 3 months. Used it less than 10 days total.

Part of why I want to build my own, then I can only be mad at myself.

Ive been toying with the idea of building my own toy hauler. Especially now that I’ve gotten into some of this stuff more, i could do it for a fraction of what it would cost to buy something and have it setup exactly how i want it.

Check out Gwolff's enclosed trailer conversion. Let me dig up the thread.

Yeah. After a bunch of calls and trying a bunch of different stuff with no resolution, they decided it needed to go back to their facility to go through it. I told them I’d rather just be done with it and didn’t have faith the issues would be addressed after all we had been through already.

The company agreed to buy it back and were dragging their feet on picking it up. So i pulled it back to Arizona and got my check. I wasn’t gonna wait around for months.

I’ll have to check those out. I’ve watched a few YouTube’s of people building and the stuff they did.

I’ve currently got a 7x14 aluminum haulmark i bought to move when i sold my house - i figured it was cheaper to just buy a trailer and then i can move at my own pace instead of having to try and shove everything in a giant moving truck or rent a few times.

I’ll fit both motorcycles but not much else unless you get creative. I’ve been toying around getting a 8.5x20 so you could put 2 bikes or a SxS and then have the front portion with like countertop and storage. Adding shore power, solar, awning, etc would all be super easy. Then just toss down some cots and you’d be set.

    1 tacoma
    1 tundra
    1 super tenere
    1 7x14 cargo trailer
    1 7x14 open trailer
    2 bicycles

    I think that’s everything.

depending on what happens with the 2022 tundra, I may consider going to one truck again. Especially now that I don’t travel for work any more.

I really want to buy a motorcycle again. However, unless $GME hits Jupiter, I won't. Yet. I have a rough layout in my head for a narrow-ish 2 bike/1 quad high clearance toy hauler with a pop up RTT on it. I'd like to add some sort of ground-level loading system to help get bikes in to a high clearance trailer. But I haven't even sketched it lol

Okay, there are so many things here... Just common sense stuff, really. :puke:Some decent design would have immediately looked to boat storage for ideas. Why no drain holes? How did they not road test in the rain?:frusty: And that HDPE panel looks to be almost an inch thick. That's skid plate material lol

Yeah it was real great when I opened it up in July and everything I had stored in there was covered in mold..

there was some really nice things and some really questionable things. The way the boxes are joined and the roof rack is really stupid. If you drill a 2” hole, it’s gonna be a lot more difficult to keep water out than if you have one just big enough for the bolt to go through.

if you look at the doors, it would run off the top, right around the edge and against the seal. Most trailers have a gutter and multiple gasket system to prevent this problem.

I think the majority of the trailers are in the southwest so it’s not really a problem. After the issues with mine, I found out a bunch of other people were having issues as well.

pretty sure they still haven’t fixed the problem even in the 2021s

Their majority market may not care. I happened to look a bit too closely at one of those Aussie trailers at Adventure Motors and made similar disappointing discoveries.
