Sorry man, I got the non cup holder kind for that exact reason.

 

any options to upgrade to aluminum cup holders? feel the plastic ones are kinda flimsy and easily cracks.

 

if I end up getting a mobtown one I was going to put some stainless cup holders that are on Amazon for <10 bucks. I figured I’d probably coat it with truck bed liner then.


Anyhow there are definitely stainless ones available

Hey guys, I’d also like to get in on the BARE tailgate panel if possible. I haven’t seen much activity about it recently though, nor am I able to find a website. In the meantime, has anyone had experience with the Mountain Hatch tailgate panel I’ve attached? Thanks!

 

Al Offroad is producing the TrailGate panel. Link below. It's sweet! There are other posts about the Mountain Hatch fitting poorly. Depends if you need a cutting board surface or want flat aluminum with/or without cupholders. Go for the TrailGate!

I was interested in mountain hatch before but never got around to ordering it. I heard (don’t know if it’s true or not) they are heavy and very slippery when wet. Plus I don’t want to eat off something I’m stepping on... I went from mobtown steel panel to this aluminum to save weight from my heavy truck. They are about the same price tho.

 

Thanks for the info! I think I am leaning towards the AL Offroad trailgate. I did not realize they were made by the same people as the BARE one, not sure why I didn’t find their website. Actually was ready to press order earlier until the shipping and tax was added on.. Likely will order in the next few weeks.

The cupholders will come out if you use a panel popper. Then you can slide them back in. But if loose stuff gets in them it will fall out when you close the tailgate. There very tough cupholders, they can take a beating.

 

These cupholders are really tough. If you break one I would be shocked. But if you do brake one just message me.

 

The plastic cup holder will flex so that they will stay in place. We are working on some cup options.
