    It's another Friday thread! Yeahhhhhh!

I paid CASH for mine. I don't understand how anyone would EVER finance when you can just pay CASH! Financing is for LOSERS.

Now, here's the secret to paying CASH! Take out a second on your home, get the cash, then go buy the truck of your dreams, ALL CASH!

</sarcasm> since there isn't an emoji for that

Exactly. Probably the mindset of the people who thought your first post was absurd. Haha.

You made a categorical statement that was completely inaccurate. I wouldn’t have replied if you stated it was your preference from the start. Yes, live how you want.

how did you get .99% for 84 months. I asked my credit union what the rate would be for 84 months and they said 4.99%!! I just about chocked!

rates were stupid low at the end of 2015 and having an 800+ credit score helped. I financed through the dealer with Wells Fargo

Exactly what I said. High interest loans, you are typically only paying on the interest and the balance (principal) never goes down

lol.... yeah do that math, tax free growth for 30 plus years... it’s staggering. Plus if your maxing out contributions with a ROTH 401k you’re saving a lot more than a traditional since you won’t loose 30% on the back end. It’s all yours.

FWIW I have a cash pension also that will be taxed so minimizing my tax liability in the future is important to me. Also if I die early my wife can have a ROTH savings now without penalty, that’s very important to me.
