This is a killer biscuit recipe. I usually split it into four globs and we have two for breakfast with gravy and two left over to go with chili or stew or even buttered with honey for dessert.

    2 cups sifted flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 cup oil
    1 cup milk
Bake at 440 for 12-15 minutes

If you’re going to make your own hash browns by shredding a potato the secret I found was shred them onto a clean towel that has no softeners or anything into a nice layer then roll it up and wring the towel with the taters in it tightly. Gets rid of all the water in the towel and then they fry up nicely. Pan not too hot and some oil in it. Don’t overcrowd the pan either. Took me a while to learn to not make pan fried mashed potatoes.

I use those when I don’t want to shred my own. Even those have stuff added to them to keep them fresh and not change colors.

Hopefully, he pulls through quickly with no after effects.

I'll have to try them. We do all our potato dishes from fresh potatoes.
I'll keep that in mind. We don't have a lot of freezer space, so it's mostly dedicated to meat.......

    And ice cream. :anonymous:
