You are correct, the truck will function fine... this is where experience driving without all the f'g doo dads and sensors  comes in.;)

I would disconnect the battery then maybe also disconnect the front nose sensor... give it 20 minutes or so, then plug both back in.
The vsc is a different ball game, if it even works on your truck. Recalibrate the vsc by shorting 2 pins in the obd2 port

If you have techstream or OBD reader, pull the codes and reset to see if it comes back. I'd still keep the appointment to the dealer. Good news is that the truck is still drivable, the dash is just gonna be annoying.

The carista app or maybe find someone in your local threads... someone might be able to get you access to tech stream

I can attest every time i get caught in a snow squall the pre-collision system warning activates a malfunction. I still contend these trucks have two much unneeded bs. I just get out my roll of black electrical tape and tape over these dash leds.

If you don't have an OBD reader, you should get one. They are inexpensive and can really help when sh!t like this happens. If you had one, you would have the codes and have a better idea of what to look for. I'm surprised the battery disconnect didn't work.

The vsc will not show up as a code on the scan gauge 2.

There are scanners that will show and clear the code

I wonder if it would clear it if you use the force clear on the scan gauge II?

It doesn't work... I have tried. I have the warning on my truck and a scan gauge 2.
No codes are read and no codes can be cleared.

Probably not it, but I had a rabbit or something gnaw on a rear ABS sensor wire and send the pre-collision and stability systems (as well as ABS, obviously) out of whack.

    Not crazy just not smart.
I've towed all my life. I tried towing 6K with my Tacoma and promptly traded for a Tundra. Truck might be able to do it but it definitely does not like it.
