I was already headed home this weekend, so I ended up picking up the Advanced Auto kit. @68dave - how's the frame on that potential parts donor?

 

Don’t wanna start a tread so I’ll ask here if anyone has SPCs installed. Was/is there a gap between the boot and the spindle? I’ve got a gap on both of mine so I’m not sure if it’s normal or not. They torques fine and lined up with the cotter pin hole. I didn’t find anything about it.
I put about 10-15 pumps of grease in each one.

 

One spot of rust on the side of the passenger side frame rail. If the tranny survived the pink milkshake I'm gonna cut it out and have a patch welded in its place. Same repair that was done to my stock Tacoma years ago and its been holding up well.

Yeah its normal. As long as its tightened properly its fine. It probably needs a little space id think so the old grease can come out when you grease it in the future. The gap will basically fill with old grease
