Seems like some footman's loops on the top of the tailgate would work if you didn't mind drilling a few holes. That or a Cordura panel that strapped to the tailgate and had buckles at the top and bottom; just unclip the bottom ones to have it hang down while the tailgate it open.

Requires cutting your straps. The bottom straps uses magnet type washers bolted onto the ends of the straps. Again you will need to trim these as well.

when not in use I just flip the bag up inside the bed of my truck to keep it from dry rotting. Yes, they will dry rot if kept on through out the yr. This is my second bag.

Very simple. You can use 3M industrial Velcro for the bottom straps if you don’t have a steel bumper. Just put the Velcro underneath the bumper on the inside.

Hey that looks great!! After a few years of overlandings now I am finally getting a more simple trash solution. I found one guy who made them specifically for tailgates but it was waaaaaaay to much $. Glad to see the standard straps will reach and fit on the tailgate.

My Trasharoo is getting a little long in the tooth and may need replacing soon. A quick look at the link and this alternative just looks basically like a copy but costs a few bucks more. I'm not seeing what makes it better - what am I missing?

it goes on sale time to time. Thicker material and feels of better quality.

Thanks. I see now in the specs it is a thicker material and holds more weight. It's also smaller in capacity though. Maybe I'll shop around a bit when I need to replace mine but I've been very happy with my Trasharoo - zero complaints. And customer service was fantastic when I needed a couple new buckles.
