It's happening very soon. We are just a bit backlogged on things at the moment.

Playing around with my truck. Turned off traction control and turned on AutoLSD, put it in manual mode, ECT on, and the truck is way quicker. If left in auto mode, it shifts 1-2 and 2-3 around 5800-5900 rpm. Manual mode around 6,500 rpm (when i do it right, and hope it doesn't bounce off the limiter), and it's right in the heart of the powerband for the next gear. I wish it could be set to automatically shift at 6500 rpm instead of having to guess it manually. Maybe that will be implemented in the performance tune.

AutoLSD instead of traction on is also a big improvement from a standstill.

In short, not really. Let me explain.
The stock engine / stock exhaust / stock system is going to be limited to how much horsepower can be extracted out of it. We have *already* found those gains, and limits, a long time ago. I don't think we can improve the tune further to gain "40whp" or "50whp" more, or more than what we have already accomplished out of a stock system.

Lets say you flashed our tune right now and gained ..35WHP. At the track this may only translate to maybe 0.2-0.3 difference in time. (just guessing).

So no..the new stuff coming is not really going to give you more power, because to get more power you need to start opening up the engines breathing ability (exhaust primarily).

The gains / power we have posted on a dyno jet with 93 octane on a stock truck is KNOCK LIMITED power on 93. So you can't really get more when you've reached the knock limit.

    Interesting info!

So which current tune is the one optomized for the greatest power? A lot of people are confused since the dyno and power gains results kinda stopped being published after those initial dyno results.

Tbh the truck has good power with one of the vftuner 93 tunes but the biggest problem is that limiter that happens sometimes in the highway while switching lanes or coming out of a turn, you floor the pedal and the stupid thing never downshifts and it's very obvious that it's not accelerating as fast as it could if it was in the right gear.

Really hope performance fixes this, I think it's one of the problems everyone hates the most since it happens randomly..

The premium octane version tunes will provide best results.

I am not sure exactly about the limiter or what you are referring to, and there are 30+ different file variants, so it's hard to say if this is identical to every version, or if it's mod specific, etc.

Also for everyone reading it's *impossible* to provide a fully optimized tune for *every truck* and *every mod condition* so that is why vF Tuner exists.

I resolved the downshift problem for me and my driving terrain. Takes off like a mad dog now on 87 octane

Using the already available versions of 2.0 and tweaking to ones liking with vF Tuner is amazing. There is so much that can be done with vF Tuner. More than one might think, if you have not utilized it yet.

If anyone is not feeling up to tweaking their own tune, there are some very good tune tweakers here on TW

Email Zen Desk ....... request the tune pack for your ECU. It will be Emailed to you ( Zipped ). Seems to help
if you include your order number. Definitely use the same Email address that you originally ordered with.

The extra 1 credit just stays there, it's not used.

The 1 credit is for vF tuner (the software) technically.

you can obviously get your vftuner questions here, also, there is a dedicated vftuner thread on TW and an ovtune forum specifically for vftuner.

Funny how we all got the "one credit" salute. That should be the new .vft wave! Honestly no disrespect intended. Kind of funny and should make you laugh - like Hey Toyota! Here is a fix to your half-assed oem calibration!

vF Tuner will be going through a major update this month.

During this time, there may be some days when
    - information on our website may not be available / may be unable to load
    - products on our website may be unavailable
    - our credit server may be unable to be accessed (however we will try to keep it operational 99% of the time through this)
    - zendesk / email ticket answers may be delayed (they are already because I'm STILL trying to catch up from December / January massive wave of new customers)
