After much reading on tents the past couple weeks I think I will bite the bullet and get this same tent in the 14x10 version. Hopefully it will be plenty big for my family of 5. Would love a 14x12 or 14x14 option but don’t want to go with another tent that takes longer to setup.

    Getting excited!

Really hope it works out for you and your family. Post back with a write-up and pics after you make your first trip.

Let me know! I'm betting you will be happy. Some pictures of your camp would be awesome. I've got a camp trip coming up in March.

I have a 10x10 VX deluxe. It was well worth the extra money and it’s been great so far. Had a downpour last summer with high winds and the tent was solid. Only thing I had to do was roll up the awning meanwhile friends in their large nylon tent were out every 45-60 mins re-staking because the tent was collapsing.

For the Kodiak Canvas Flex-bow users....check out the video for a tent peg hack that makes your tent solid in the ground and makes getting the pegs out super easy. I already carry an impact driver for removing lug nuts so it's nothing really extra I need to bring. I also carry the original Kodiak tent pegs (and rubber mallet) just in case the area is so rocky I can't screw my pegs in. Totally worth the small investment.
