I got this hidden winch mount from Relations Race Wheels because it’s light (20lbs or so) but I’m wondering why so few welds? I would think they would run beads around the whole thing. My only guess is that they only did them at stress points?4E023531-C75D-4985-B7FE-7DAB4F6466DD.jpg DEF0F74F-4CC8-4168-A105-5CE5730DC5E9.jpg 466C5F12-E658-4550-8269-B506FB8A34F4.jpg

Lightweight for sure. If you are of a mind to add a couple welds, add them along the length of the long gussets on the bottom. I'd add a 2 inch weld to each side half way between the existing weld and the flange. I'd be sure to install with high strength bolts and heaver fender washers.

Every welded product of theirs I’ve seen has been relatively under-engineered in comparison to other fab outfits’ products.

The engineering on one of their low pro bumpers I saw was pretty pathetic as far as the “recovery” points were concerned.

Well, I went and got myself into deep doo doo boys. I spent 2 hours today stick welding the whole thing the proper way just to find out that it doesn't fit. It runs into the power steering oil cooler. I have a sneaking suspicion that these clowns aren't gonna take it back.

That blows. Am thinking you can reposition/relocate the PS cooling unit easy enough?

Update: I realized it does fit. I needed to relocated the power steering cooler. Regardless, I wouldn't trust this thing to not snap under any real load. Not recommended
