    Very well said.

When I am practicing, I usually load 5 rounds at a time. Doing so forces me to shoot slower, to be more focused on what I am doing, rather than blasting away until the mag is empty. Next time, I will 3 at a time.

Learning/practicing your gun handling/control skills without live ammo is a good way to go. That way, you can really concentrate on handling the gun - break each step down, practice it, get comfortable with it - without the distraction of "did I hit the target". Too many times, the end result (target hit) is all people think about. In reality, there is so much more.

I’ve got the ammo shipping figured out finally! Now to decide where to sell the 410/45LC...

One upside to the ammo shortage. Range time with less people.

No form when I shipped ammo

I packaged the ammo in a heavy duty box, printed ORM-D labels (both types) and taped them on, taped a label on (contact number and shipping address), wrapped the whole box in tape, and then took it to UPS distribution center where they weighed it, printed shipping labels, taped on the labels, and then off the ammo went.

All 3 people I talked to yesterday made it seem like a big ordeal (forms, contracts, etc.), the girl I spoke with this morning made it clear. Attach the new label to the box and away it goes!

You know, I haven’t checked any of the hardware stores... I’ll give that a try.

I’d like to get a .22 pistol for plinking. Was looking at the Walther P22 and Ruger compacts. Also the S&W. I read that neither Walther or S&W actually make the gun. They just put their names on it.

Could anyone recommend a reliable .22 pistol? Reading all the reviews has my head spinning. I just want something fun and reliable since it’s getting prohibitively expensive plinking larger calibers.

M&p 22 compact. Mine is my boat gun and it has been through hell and back and still runs pretty much anything except shorts and quiets

The Walther P22 and Sig mosquito are 2 .22 pistols that are rarely reccomended, if you want a standard looking pistol the Taurus TX22 and M&P 22 compact are the top 2 options. If you want accuracy/reliability and don't care about the looks the Ruger Mark 4 or S&W Victory are good options.

Lol. I started thinking about that only after I replied, and I was like, ‘Shit. I’ll have to take the slide off otherwise it’ll be bad news bears for me.’

If you are into revolvers check out the S&W 63 or 317 kit. My 63's a joy to shoot, ridiculously accurate and runs anything that I feed it. I brought up both kids with it and they still love it.

I was pleasantly surprised, especially for the $$. Got one about a year ago. Plinking is about all I do lately, 'cause, you know...
Both of my sons were so impressed, they each got their own. Have yet to find anything it hates. Damn accurate, light, and fits some G type holsters. Fills the hand nicely. Easy take-down, lifetime warranty if you file with Taurus within 30 days of purchase. Just a fun little machine that feels full-size, making it a great trainer. Holds 15+1 to boot.
Only thing I enjoy more is my Buck Mark micro stainless bull. Fun plinker, recommended.

One precaution. Some early ones had a rifling issue, a slight chattering in the machining process that left the rifling less than perfect. Upon my initial take-down/inspection/cleaning, I wasn't 100% happy with mine. In a nutshell, Taurus sent me a new barrel, no questions asked. Both of my son's versions were fine. Good idea to take a bore light and have a look before buying, though Taurus has taken care of the issue since.
