I 3d printed a cap to cover the chrome plastic bit at the top of the boot on mine. Super simple, looks good, took all of a couple minutes to print. I know some people will also put a zip tie on the under inside of the boot to hold it up.

I have The same knob and I can’t seem to keep it lined up so annoying I’ll get it set and then he gets cold out and boom out of alignment again. Any tips on how to keep it lined up

A very small difference, going to do the doors next and see how it does then.

Fought with this stupid grill all yesterday.

Also, my passenger diy retrofit sprung a leak at some point and I dumped out no less than a full can of beer’s worth of water. Had to remove it and bake off all the fog, then re siliconed the living shit out of it. Shoulda paid someone to do it right the first time!

too cold to finish wiring the raptors or installing the skid this weekend.

Put electrical tape over the tpms light. Now I can stop trying to convince myself that “it doesn’t bother me.”

Almost vomited in my engine bay... seriously. Checked my oil level before making my trash dump and Walmart run. It's high on the dipstick (maybe 1/4 inch above the FULL dot) but color looked good. I'm almost at 190,000 and planned on changing it sometime this coming week. Took off the oil cap and got hit with...

    Sludge.jpg

It was only in the upper part of the tube and underside of the cap. Is there any chance it ISN'T the head gasket leaking? Like, maybe it's too much oil causing it to foam up?

My plan at this point? Change the oil ASAP, and monitor.

    Any suggestions are welcome!

Its nothing to freak out about. It is the crankcase gases cooling on the oil fill tube and cap. I had the same thing about a year ago and had the same reaction. It will actually go away when the engine is warm. I added in an oil catch can since then and have not found this anymore.

Oh, man! So good to hear that! I thank you but, perhaps more importantly, my wife thanks you! I was in a bit of a... mood.

It can be a head gasket or just condensation build up from short trips , drive the truck for a longer period time so it can get up to operating Temps and check again

Wife just found a couch in Manassas that we "need", so will be taking it on a 100 mile round trip shortly. Thanks!

I like that box. Can you tell me the model number of the Craftsman box and which specific fasteners you used?

Threw on the tires and rims due to the space they were taking up. But so far she drives lovely and only slight rub on my uca in full lock.

Very very common in the colder months. As stated it’s just condensation, nothing to worry about.

Weird. Haven’t had an issue with it at all. Held it where I wanted it, snugged up the lock nut, and it hasn’t moved since. Maybe try tossing a split washer in between to keep it from moving? Or a little bit of blue locktite?
