    I can't imagine going without a softener and I'm almost positive no one is hooked up to city water on our street so that wouldn't be an option.

    It's okay, ours is gross too. I look forward to replacing it someday.

    I don't think we have a water filter anywhere but I don't know how else the water is getting filtered because what comes out of our well is not what we have coming out of our faucets. Everything is done funky here :notsure:
    That's how our hot tub comes out when we have to top it off from the well. Nasty stuff.
