@Taco critter told me to notify him if I came across an even somewhat decent Tacoma for sale, and I’m kinda hoping he’ll buy it...

However, if my buddy doesn’t buy it, I told the salesman who gave me the keys that I would be sharing the truck on TW and I’d be absolutely shocked if someone didn’t buy it this weekend!

I’d buy the damn thing if I didn’t already have a Tacoma!

 

Thats maybe a $1200 truck. Don't know who in their right mind would pay $5500 for that lol

 

I have to admit I was thinking it was only moderately overpriced until I looked up the Blue Book value; In good condition with those miles, the truck is worth a little under $3,000.

If I had to buy that truck, I have the owner of the body shop that fixed my truck meet me at the dealer to give me an estimate on repairing the damage to the left rear fender; I would then insist that the dealer deduct whatever it would cost to repair the damage from the asking price, which would probably come to around $3,000.

 

That body damage above the tailight is kinda bad.. fixable .. but bad.

 

Would that total the truck if it happened in an accident and someone made an insurance claim? If the price was right I’d buy this one, install a killer stereo in it, and use it as a beater to protect my 2nd Gen from getting damaged...

 

Probably not completely but the damage on the right side of the cab,rocker, and door would make it pretty close. I get that its rust free and all which is great. It's strong money for that but I would expect nothing less when its on a dealership lot.

 

That’s the type of truck you buy for less than two grand and either use as a beater or totally redo and turn into a show stopping mini truck; I’m actually shocked that Thompson would put it on their lot without repairing the body damage...

It’s here too. Tons of these including every make. FB Marketplace is an unregulated shit show. Message any of these and it tells you they just listed it for a relative and you can reach them and a given email. Then the scam of stealing and selling your email begins.

 

Also listed for sale in about about half a dozen states, including parts of those states where it wouldn’t snow like this!
