Back up camera just stopped working

I have 2012 tacoma 6 speed manual.

I parked my truck a week ago. Backup camera works fine. Tonight it doesnt.

Everytime I put it in reverse the green light next to power button just blinks.

Take it out of reverse light stats on steady.

I've turned vehicle on/off ...no go.

Ive tried googling but cant find the right combo of words to find the answer.

What should I google? Or can you provide link please?

 

Try a new back up switch. Or just a system reset. Unplug your battery for awhile and plug it back in

Would this still be the case if my backup lights still come on and the beeper when I shift into reverse?

 

If the reverse lights work then it isn't the switch...

Looking at the prints it gets power from the IG1 Fuse 10 Amp, IG1 NO2 Fuse 10 Amp and the ECU-B Fuse 7.5 Amp. Check those with a Multimeter.

But I dont know were those power sources fuses are.
Are they fuse box under the hood or the ones under dash by pedals?

 

ECU-B is under the hood fuse box.
IG1 & IG1 No2 is under the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

I realize this thread is pretty old but OP did you ever get this sorted out? I'm having the exact same issue and have checked everywhere for loose connections with no luck. I'm starting to wonder if the camera itself is bad...

 

Every time mine stopped working, it was due to a bad back up switch. Not sure if Autos have them though

 

The manual reverse switch is in the transmission.
The automatic reverse switch is actuated from the Park / Neutral shifter position switch.

 

My truck is a manual and reverse lights and beep are still working properly. From what I've read, these seem to normally go out with the reverse switch as well. Did you still have reverse lights when your switch went bad?

 

I have nothing to contribute, but a couple of you mentioned beepers. Your trucks have reverse beepers? Is this normal from the factory?

 

I've never seen a Tacoma with a reverse beeper... Mine doesn't.

 

Actually one of the times the switch went bad I did have back up lights, but one of the times I didn't.

 

Manual transmission tacomas do.

 

Not my 5 spd. What is that a beeper in the cab or something?
