    Thanks!
I booked a “Avian Adventure” this last week with the desert museum here in Tucson. The star of the show a Eurasian Eagle Owl. Worth every penny!! 6’ wing span!

Cool. So they do free flight demonstrations, but don't have any gear on it's legs, interesting. Most use jesses (short leather straps) on their legs that can be used to restrain the bird when they don't want it to fly. I figured it was captive, or being released to the wild because you can see the top of someone's head in the lower left hand corner of the photo.

    Thanks!
Yes only 6 ppl at a time and part of the show you line up 3 per side and the owl flys between you a few times! They have a daily raptor free flight demonstration each day but it’s been shut down due to CoVid (went last year... amazing hawks flying just above your head, you can feel the air pushed off their wings!) So they pushed ahead this year with a smaller group of 6 ppl. I ask if they ever leave... they say the birds love it, fresh quail tid bits and a whole rat back in there cage when all done. They ask each bird every day if they want to come out and play it’s all up to the bird. With full bellies they don’t want to leave. Only one Harris Hawk made it 300yards for a rabbit kill (those have a micro transmitter on) and didn’t come back till a handler went over to it. Seems it was so full it couldn’t fly and ended up walking behind the handler all the way home lol!!!

    Congrats, @Spintly!

Just so I know for in the future, is the "1200 pixels on the long edge" rule no longer applicable?

I have always obeyed it, but many do not, possibley due to limited image editing resources. I do know the server will reduce the resolution of large photos, and sometimes it creates undesirable effects in the process. If you stick to 1200 pixels it won't reduce it, and the quality of your photo won't suffer.
