Yup! Just why couldn't the Patriots win any of their SB like this. Always have to be close right to the last seconds. I lost years of my life watching those games.

I’ll either make that or find that. I used to be a beer person but I got to the point that beer and the bubbles I didn’t like it. So I decided I had to find something “hard” I could drink that wasn’t carbonated. I remember my buddy in college had bird dog blackberry. So I tried their peach and since then I’m a fruity whisky guy. Although I do have a bottle of ten high I did in a barrel for a week and I won’t lie that’s smoother than I thought it would be.

funny - I stopped today for a 6 pack of golden monkey for a childhood friend of mine long story. But, I just had ONE and I’m bubbly enough. I grabbed a 750 of birddog blackberry and I haven’t tapped into that YET but the honey is going down smooth this evening.

    with all due respect.

    :puke:

Funny story - that was my first beer ish. I didn’t drink before 21 I was kind of lame. My roommate and I senior year of college had the same birthday but we were friends junior year when we turned 21. We went out to pats pizza in Orono Maine :puke: and I got a Heineken :puke: as my first legal beer. That guy also turned me on to rolling rock.

needless to say, same guy who had the bird dog blackberry actually  good guy. Haven’t talked to him in a while that reminds me actually.

anyway. It wasn’t a light but yeah that was a uhhh interesting first choice.

I love good quality beer from local breweries and what not but I get bad heartburn from drinking those so I dont drink as much as I would like.

with beer it was more of a point of effort if I wanted to get buzzed and or drink. With whisky sometimes I look around realizing I’m eating potato chips with chopsticks and think “I think water might be a good idea”.

I wanted to put the budbuilt skid set from my 3rd 4R on my tacoma. The tacoma is missing a crossmember (that the 4R had) to mount the main belly pan. He welded some receiving brackets to the frame and fabricated a rear crossmember that is now bolt-on in case the transfer case ever needs pulled.

When I had my mazda - leather without heaters would have been brutal. I have cloth seats now and I am perfectly happy without them. but yeah - I think the problem would be if I ever put them in I would be hooked.

That looks great! I need to get into welding. Always interested me but never been my thing. I've done it a few times, I'm....Well, I put a bead somewhere when I did it.

My wife's car has them built in, leather seats also. I've never had heated seats in any vehicle that I've owned. They've all been cloth seats and gas engines and I haven't really felt like I was missing out, they all heated up pretty quick. The diesel is cold in the winter and takes a long time to get heat going in the cab. So far, I added the block heater (which should have been there from the factory IMO), high idle switch and the heated seat cover. I'm now comfortable on a really cold morning  That thing is just a cover, in the summer, I'll fold it up and put in the pocket behind the seat and just rock the cloth seats. Thankfully, the diesel has no problems with cranking the A/C.

Yeah, they've got an aggressive defense. Most of the time it pays off, but if the Refs are paying attention it'll burn you in a hurry.

Shoot me a PM with that link

Also, I have a Crosstrek for sale! Come buy this thing.
Mine is decent. Does well in the snow. If I had to drive it year-round, I'd end myself

Have him replace the clutch while you're in there. Might as well not pay labor again.
I'd just delete the emissions stuff and call it a day, or trade it in for another one. They hold their value like nobody's business.
Yeah, you should see the detailed notes most of my techs give me :jerkoff:
Remind me to never go to any building you designed, or interact with any project you worked on.
@ABA180 Still rocks out to some Edison wax cylinders. He listens to his oldies while dancing his painfully arthritic rendition of The Charleston.
My driveway is like 80' wide and 25-30' deep. I used to snowblow it all, in fact I bought a blower last year, but the plow is working so much better.
I have a 18 year bottle of Macallan that I haven't opened yet.
I'm amazed your truck didn't come with them from the factory! Isn't yours the XLT?

I am in aerospace manufacturing

I'll shoot you a PM. Not buying a crosstrek though. Thing probably wouldn't fit in my garage.

    .......is it MT?

Any of your work on the MH370 flight?

The Crosstrek isn't a MT, which is why I don't like driving it very much. It did have a fresh revised CVT put in it 30k ago though! I'm sure it'll fit!

:puke: I see why you're trying to sell it! That might be what my wife lands in but that's a while out. She's only got about 90k on her camry right now. I think when that goes, she'll want to be in something a little bit bigger, I'm thinking crosstrek sized. I will try to get her into an NA w/ a normal transmission ideally. I think we could settle on a turbo, but trying to get away from a hybrid

But given it's a 2015 and only has 90k on it, chances are everything will be electrical by then :|

All of it! That happened the spring of my Junior year of college before I ever worked in the aero industry. I ended up interning at NH Ball Bearing that summer, and then after grad worked in medical R&D for a bit, then back to aero manufacturing down in RI.

I loved CNN's approach. Someone higher up said "You shall stay on MH370 until it is found!" and then after a week they said "DO IT! We want to be the news agency that was with the world the whole time until it was found!" and then another week, and then more weeks go by, and no crash site found. Me thinks they kind of fell into a sunk cost fallacy with it.

We don't do any safety critical or flight critical hardware, which is a nice place to be in the aero industry.

As much as I like the idea of deleting, it's not worth the headache while I'm still in warranty. The legality of it makes it a lot easier said than done. It's difficult to find a good, reputable tuner because no one's advertising anymore. If you do find one and god forbid something happens, you're royally screwed. That's why I'm just going to keep it emissions on, see what happens while I'm in warranty and make a decision. If it starts giving me problems, I have enough equity in it, I can trade it back for a gasser and come out pretty well on the other end.

Nope, none of my Ford XLTs have had seat heaters. That's the 2013 F150 XLT and 3 F250 XLTs, none of them have had butt warmers. The 3 - Super Duties have all been very low optioned XLT's though, not fancy XLTs by any means.

I have seen the Mirai FCEV that thing looks pretty cool. I don't know that they are in the states though. Otherwise I think Toyota only has hybrids/plug in hybrids in the states right now. I know there are talks of a hybrid drivetrain in the next tacoma

It's COLD out there but I got all my bits for the CB in today, other than the antenna mount. So, I might go out to HD and grab an L bracket or something. Either for "in the meantime" or end up permanent, TBD. If it works I'll probably use use that permanently. Unfortunately it looks pretty cold and/or snowy for the foreseeable future so it sounds like I might be in for a COLD install tonight after work instead of trying to wait for the right time.

As far as the camping setup goes too, I measured it out, and unfortunately the back part of the 60% seat is coming off. I measured it out and with it on I have about 5'5 of sleeping space, without it closer to 5'10. I am 5'10. There's a chance I could get set up and end up being fine with it in there, but for the road trip at least I want to give myself the best chance of success. I'm thinking grab those weathertight cases from HF, that way if I repurpose etc I can use them just about anywhere. Put those down, and then a plywood platform over the top of them. Maybe/probably car carpet over that. Then the bedding on top. I'm going to leave the 40% in for now, but that might come out too since the only thing back there will be the dog and she likes to swim and roll in the mud. So, might get a cage to block her off in that section so she doesn't get mud everywhere.
