As the other comments mentioned, depends on your skill set, the availability of the right tools, etc.

I think of myself that I’m pretty comfortable with disassembly and assembly of automotive parts, but I lack the tools. Not going to lie I make what I have work as best I can without having to buy every specialty tool. Also I have no air tools.

I’m doing this in my driveway on jack stands,
I’ve completely removed and disassembled the front end components in about a days time. I think I spent about 2-3 hours per side at what I would call slow pace. Another 2-3 hours per side cutting off the existing LCA tabs and bump stops, grinding them down.

I plan to do some fitting this weekend of the lca kit, some cutting to fit the slide rack and 934s and fitting of the JD supplied gussets and fill plates. I’m not sure I’ll modify the steering rack yet. I may replace it still. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve removed it, I’ve gotten faster at that too. It should go much quicker that all the other parts are not in the way.

I don’t weld, so I can’t comment on how long that portion takes. @81Trekker mentioned to me he does them in about 16 hours. Makes sense with the what he has available to himself and the repetition of doing them.

If you had your mind set to it, focused on this and only this, I could see this being a weekend project for a average joe with some decent tools.

I’m dragging mine out, I won’t get more than a few hours In at a time. The weekend is supposed to be my time to help with the baby since I’m at work all week while the wife deals with him. I’ve already gotten in trouble for interrupting nap times. The baby’s bedroom is next to the driveway and he won’t sleep with the grinder going full tilt

    It was getting caged
Shop did a half ass unsafe incomplete welded cage
    I took it back
Paid a IG popular shop to cut the cage out and prep it for a proper one.
    It’s been sitting since.
Covid 2020 was a shit year for me and it kept kicking into 2021
    Lost my house
Had some money stolen from me
So I did the only thing I could afford...
Leave California and relocate to somewhere else so I could afford to live and hunt for new employment or school.

    240CAE15-FE2A-4196-B82A-DE974CB00008.jpg

it’s sitting on 40’s and will get a LS 454 when I can afford to start paying the fabricator money again.
    Which at current junction...
    Who knows

    I can weld
    And I can gunsmith
Both of which are jobs in jeopardy right now in America
