That is fucked.

 

Bowl lights also suffer from quality problems. The bowl lights i received had issues with two of the bowl lights. The LED panel and wire are attached to the bowl with hot plastic, the plastic was broken and the wire and LED panel were loose. Had to reattach with hot glue. The second bowl light would not light. After further investigation I found that the polarity of the wires soldered to the LED circuit board were reversed. I had to unsolder the wires and reverse the connections. The board was clearly marked + and -.

Notified KTJO4x4 of the issues, but heard no response.

Make sure you check your bowl lights before installing.

 

Well that is pretty disappointing as well as discouraging.

 

A single melted stud? That's a shit design. KTJO 4x4 is gonna need more excuses after some folks go wheeling. LoL!

Dude, first thing I sad in the email about the handle to her.............."black specs in the gray plastic". Somehow that translates to me having a black handle. I don't know. Fucking retarded.

 

Hell, let those shitty connections and soldering get a few hot/cold cycles during the winter then in cab oven temps in the summer and I bet you see some more come undone.

For someone proclaiming OEM BS this and OEM quality that, KTJO 4x4 hasn't a fucking clue about dealing with Chinese manufacturing quality and quality management.

I even had my wife come over and read the entire exchange just to make sure I wasn't just misreading or misunderstanding something she was saying. I'd already had a few drinks so it was possible I just misunderstood.............................nope. KTJObstinate just never went to the school for kids who don't read good.

 

There was a time there when I thought that she was trying to be difficult / confusing. But, no. She's just not set up for this type of biz.

 

These would be so much better, they flip down, just not sure there's anything to bolt them to.

 

I want to say someone experimented with that before. Pulled the headliner back and there was nothing there except for curtain airbag bolts. Problem with that location for me is I'm only 5'7", and only if I stand up straight.....pretty much never. Add to the 1/5" lift I have in the front and I'd barely be able to reach that handle

 

In general, I would agree. But in the Taco, they would just hurt my head. Out wheeling, I've bounced my noggin off of that area quite a few times.

For me, I really like the size of the cab. It does have limitations though.

 

I wouldn't have a problem hitting my head on it while seated. But I have bounced my head off the window a few times on rough terrain.....

 

Yeah. I'm a bit taller than you, with a long torso. I basically look out the top of the windshield.

 

I have a friend like that. HE drives a 2016 GMC 3500 Denali 4x4. I don't know if you've ever noticed what they are doing with the windshields in those, but they are actually shorter than the windshield in the Tacoma. I don't know how he sits there staring at the headliner when he's driving.
